Cheesesteak House — Restaurant in Dallas

Current review: I called in my order and they put me on hold for 6 minutes before I finally hung up. Also, they have recently raised their prices. Getting a Cheesy Cheesesteak with fries is nearly as expensive as getting an HMF with fries at Blues Burgers. That's crazy to me!

Previous review: The Cheesy Cheesesteak is the sandwich to get here hands down. It is the best cheesesteak I've ever hand bar none. The meat is fully covered in a very tasty queso and then I pour some of their outstanding chipotle mayo on the cheesesteak and go to heaven. For me, the Chipotle Mayo isn't really spicy but it tastes incredible.

I would just like to point out that food is ever evolving and authentic isn't necessarily good. Given the number of innovations made in the past few decades, I'm guessing that if we went back in time 50 years and visited the popular restaurants at the time we would likely be delivering some dismal reviews. On that point, it should be noted that Pat's in Philadelphia, the originator of the Philly Cheesesteak only has 3 stars on yelp ("A-Ok") and Pat's main competition Geno's only has 2.5 stars (between "A-Ok" and "Meh"). The CheeseSteak House has 4.5 stars for a reason and it's not the atmosphere. The food here is outstanding.

I've also had the hot wings with buffalo sauce and they were good as well. The buffalo sauce tastes identical to the hot sauce at Wing Stop. The wings are similar as well, but perhaps a bit bigger here. If you like Wing Stop's hot wings then you will like these, but mostly as a side as the primary reason to come here is the Cheesy Cheesesteak.

The Queso fries were good as well (perhaps a tad expensive). The queso is outstanding and I was surprised to find the fries were well seasoned and tasty even without the queso.

On early visits to this location I ordered other sandwiches such as the regular Philly Cheesesteak and the Chicken Cheesesteak. These are all quality made sandwiches but they weren't anything special to me and didn't leave me wanting to come back for more . By comparison, the cheesy cheesesteak has got me wanting to come back for more each and every day because I'm hooked! The one item I still want to order is the Alan Burger (Burger topped with cheesesteak). i guess that day I'll have to make 2 trips because i have to have my Cheesy...

To be honest i dont know what people are raving about this place. The cheesesteak sandwiches here are mediocre at best. Nothing special. Maybe some just never had great cheeseteak elsewhere. The looks of the place plays its part. And the service i got was the worst part of it. I ordered the regular cheesesteak and the girl ringing me up has the worst attitude ever. Right after i payed, not even one minute i saw the picture of bbq cheeseteak and decided to change my ordere and i was willing to pay the difference which i did. The girl though seems like it was the biggest hassle to go back and ring me up again and change my ticket. Then she told me that they already made my order even though i just saw the ticket just put up on the line. Like not even a minute passed, it was horrible excused to not accommodate my order. She even shook her head right in front of me as she was trying to modify my order, like come on. I used to be a server and i never show my frustration and never shook my head in front of the customer. Maybe the girl was on her period or something but it was really rude. I can understand if i had gotten my food already and then decided to switch it but i didn't get my food yet and it wasn't even getting prepared yet. Not even two minutes passed by so there was no reason for her to give me bad service and have an attitude. They should be accommodating the customers request especially a paying customer like myself. On top of that when i got to my car, i didnt get the bbq cheesesteak that i had asked for, instead i got the regular cheeseteak... So yeah i had to go back and tell them to remake it since i payed extra for the bbq cheesesteak. Overall i would not recommend this place. 3.2 out of 5 for the cheesesteak. 1 out 5 rating for the customer service. Horrible, horrendous experience. Never going back again. No...

BEWARE**

I had been ordering from this establishment for a while now, and unfortunately there seems to be a sanitation issue. I ordered 2 BBQ Cheesesteaks, some Lemon Pepper Wings, and some Nachos ( with sausage added on). The next day I threw it all up, something in that food made me sick. I hadn't eaten anything besides that so I know it was this places food. I always make sure to wash my hands correctly before eating so I was cleaning properly on my end.

Either somethings wrong with the meat, or one of the workers did not wash their hands properly.... Either way I can no longer recommend this location for business. Consumer health must be taken seriously especially in these drastic times.

################################### I ordered from Uber Eats and this establishment did a great job on my order. Rarely do I give out 5 star reviews but they earned it along with two pinkies up.

A++ place to eat, I recommend other people to try this place.

Food was done properly both times I've ordered, no mistakes.

Was prepared very quickly, and they give you a lot of food. And man was it delicious, only bad thing I have to comment is that the steak is a little too salty for my taste. Just a bit.
