I hated to leave this review, seriously, but then I looked at all of the other 1 star reviews and realized this is a common problem with the owner and the restaurant management. Many people say they spend lots of money with an establishment when they have an issue, but don't really. Not me. I have honestly spent a small fortune here over the years, and am truly disappointed with the attitudes and horrible customer service experienced here. About 2 months ago, I ordered a large order for my family, and one complete dinner was not packaged in the order. (Used Doordash) When I called to inquire, the OWNER'S SON answered the call, and basically called me a liar and thief, trying to get a free meal. Really? Not cool. While we were arguing about the situation, my gut tells me he found the meal still sitting there at the restaurant, because his tone IMMEDIATELY changed, and the guy actually made the dinner fresh again, and delivered it to my home HIMSELF. That spoke volumes, and repaired our business relationship. Fast forward to today, January 20th, 2025. Ordered lunch for my family (not cheap) through Uber Eats. One of the entrees was completely wrong. No biggie I thought, I'll just call and tell them the situation. A manager named CARRIE answered and put me on hold while she checked my order information. After a lengthy wait, she returned to the line with a NASTY attitude, and was very dismissive. Wow. (I'm glad I had my phone on speaker so my family could experience this as well š) The first thing out of her mouth was "well there's nothing I can do sir." I was like excuse me? She then repeated, loud and rudely, "IT WAS A DELIVERY, THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO!" Wow. So hateful! Before I could even speak, she said very rudely "I guess you can try to call the delivery service and try to get a refund, or YOU can come here and get it remade. That's all I can do." So.....I drove up there to get a remake. No apology, hateful attitude, eye rolling from CARRIE. (She truly has NO business in customer service!) I asked to speak with the owner, and he came to the front. I explained the situation to him, and he couldn't have cared less. The 1 star reviews talking about him and the employees are 100% correct! I know it won't bother them, but I will NEVER spend...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Chubby's for brunch, and let me tell you, it was an experience that left me craving for more! Nestled in the heart of the city, Chubby's is an unassuming gem with a warm and inviting atmosphere that welcomes you the moment you step through the door.
The star of the show was undoubtedly their scrumptious Chicken Fried Chicken and Waffles. Perfectly seasoned and crispy on the outside, while tender and juicy on the inside, the chicken was an absolute delight. The waffles were light and fluffy, with a hint of sweetness that perfectly complemented the savory chicken. Served with a side of rich, buttery maple syrup, this dish was the epitome of comfort food and had me wishing I had room for seconds.
But it wasn't just the Chicken Fried Chicken and Waffles that stole my heart. The entire menu was a treasure trove of deliciousness, each dish crafted with care and bursting with flavor. From their mouth-watering omelettes to their heavenly Eggs Benedict, every bite was a testament to the culinary expertise that Chubby's is known for.
What truly set my experience at Chubby's apart, however, was the exceptional service. Our server, Kari with a K, was the epitome of professionalism and charm. As a petite redhead with an infectious smile, Kari immediately made us feel at ease with her warm and friendly demeanor. Throughout our meal, she was attentive to our needs, ensuring our drinks were topped off and our plates were cleared promptly. Kari's genuine enthusiasm for the food and her passion for providing top-notch service made our brunch at Chubby's an unforgettable experience.
In conclusion, Chubby's has undoubtedly earned a special place in my heart, and I cannot recommend it enough for anyone looking for a memorable brunch experience. With its mouth-watering dishes and unparalleled service, Chubby's is the perfect spot to share a meal with friends, family, or that special someone. If you haven't already, do yourself a favor and head over to Chubby's ā you won't be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI didn't like the way I felt after leaving this place. My husband ordered curbside online. I arrived at Chubbies in one of the curbside spots and called and asked about my order. I wasn't sure if it was under my husband's full name or shortened name. I said my husband's abbreviated/full name and also mentioned the email address. The lady on the phone started to be aggressive and said I wasn't who I said I was. Then a lady came from inside and said I HAD to go inside to get my order. I'm visibly shaking because I have anxiety, and I didn't think I would have to get out of my car. Why couldn't the employee bring my food, and I show them the confirmation then..? Literally doesn't make any sense. They just wanted to be difficult. Then, when I entered, I was told they wouldn't give me my food until I showed them my order confirmation. I had one of the servers/hostess women who answered the phones, screaming at me, so I sat down and told her my husband made the order. I'm texting him now for a screenshot, visibly shaking because I'm receiving such terrible service and attitude from this Mexican lady who's got to be in her 60s. She was tripping out on me when I sat down to wait for a reply from my husband. She said, "I'm not going to argue with you!" I wasn't even speaking to her. The only good service I got was from a young hostess, who gave me my order and was able to answer my questions over the phone. They shouldn't offer curbside, if it's not true curbside. Imagine having small children in the car, being injured, limited mobility, or just being sick/nauseous, and then they MAKE YOU GET OUT OF YOUR CAR. If you order online, you have to go inside to get your order. Curbside is only for people who call and order over the phone, and I'm assuming they are paying over the phone. I'd rather spend my money at better places, with better customer service. Such as Dallas Diner Donuts, The Green Spot, and JJs...
