I ordered a cake for my son's 17th birthday party 2/17/24. Having bought many bakery good, I thought their cake would be amazing. However, I must honestly report that the cake experience was a disaster. The chocolate cake was super dry. I ordered a basic chocolate cake, not tres leches or anything. On the outside, the cake was beautiful, decorated with ferrero rocher chocolates, strawberries and pineapples. The whip topping was great, light and fluffy. My first bite was horrible. Then I looked to my guests and confirmed my fear, it wasn't good at all. I had plates of left over cake from everyone. I apologized to everyone. My poor birthday boys experience was ruined and everyone's. When I called the bakery, the lady said I was exaggerating. That rubbed me the wrong way. I took the cake to the bakery the next day and someone I presume was the owner was kind and apologetic. She refunded my money but my son's birthday experience was made sour by the bad cake. I got my money back but that special day is gone....never buying cakes again from here.
Prior experience: I love how soft, fresh and delicious their conos, conchas, pineapple empanadas, and galletas are. Their bollio bread is super soft too. Other bakeries don't often serve the freshest bread leading to hard and undesirable pastries. We usually go on the weekends since our drive is 35 min. The line can be long but it moves along pretty fast, trust me it's worth the wait. Prices are great compared to other more expensive bakeries that look better than they...
Read morePlace is not suitable for the amount they sell! Service is so slow and there's always a line of 10 to 15 people ahead of you and only 1 or 2 people super slow to help! They ought to have more people to help or to get rid of one of the showcases that is hardly ever used only occupying a space that doesn't make sense to me! The amount of time to be helped is between 15 and 20 minutes and sometimes even more if you get there between 7 and 8 am! Bottom line they need more people or faster ones to speed up and improve their service time that's why I don't go there so often . Other than that food might be worth the wait if you like tamales 🫔 ...
Read moreI recently visited Del Norte Bakery, and I have to say, it's an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the warm, inviting scent of freshly baked goods. The selection is impressive, with everything from delicate pastries to hearty breads. I tried the pan dulce, and it was perfectly fluffy and delightful, with just the right amount of sweetness. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a treat or grab something to go. I’ll definitely be back!...
