El Mezquite Bar — Restaurant in Dallas

Tried the puerco con chile rojo gordita, taco de fajita, and taco de pastor. Everything was fantastic! When I saw that they have handmade corn tortillas, I ordered some (they come in orders of 3). This is a rare commodity and they were delicious. The meat in the gordita and in the tacos was very well seasoned and lean. I expected to bite into low quality meat, but was pleasantly surprised. The food was served with fresh diced onion, cilantro, and lime. Often times restaurants don't cut the onion and cilantro up well. Not the case here at all. The salsas (red and green) were both great. Beware, the red salsa has a LOT of kick to it. Go easy until you've tasted it.

It's an older building with very limited space. Our table was literally only 4 feet from the bathroom. But, it didn't feel dirty or dangerous.
