Fruteria Cano — Restaurant in Dallas

I visited the location on carroll today arround 7:30pm. I went with my mom and two sisters who were visiting out of town, i had been bragging about this place bacuse i liked it so much, but today is my last day to visit there. We order 3 elotes and all 3 ladies working there were rude and all trying to take our order which made it very confusing. One lady wearing a black hat, the other wearing a blue shirt with white complected skin, and the other on the cash register wearing a red fruteria cano shirt. My sister who had never been there ask for two elotes with everything thinking the salsa with be separate like in most places and the ladies never explained what "everything" meant, and as you know they had salsa in there. When we asked for them to please remake without no salsa cashier reply with "just take it off. I will charge for remakes." The other elote was asked w/o salsa (at this point we had already experience the unhappiness and discomfort with the orders) and it looked all white on top so we left. When i got to my house we discovered all 3 elotes had salsa!! I went back and asked for my money back and ladie in red shirt refused and remade my elote. I took it, but honestly worst elote ever. It was dried, too small, and was not fresh at all. DO NOT ASK FOR AN ELOTE...

This place used to be good. But now it is not. I had bought some ice cream from here. 1 frozen mango on a stick cost $4! I can get ice cream in garland for $0.75! On top of that, the ice cream tasted absolutely horrible. Like vomit. Tasted like vomit. I had acid reflux from the ice cream and it was not a pleasant taste. I’ve been here several times before and never had an issue or problem with price or quality. But now it is just absolutely horrible. The service I received was very rude. I asked a question and she didn’t even answer me. Just stared at me. I even spoke in Spanish and still no response. I waited outside until a Hispanic person went in an when they came out I asked them what’s they were charged for their items. They told me a much cheaper price than what I had to pay. Absolutely poor quality and con artist employees. Upcharging those that aren’t of similar race or decent. And no I’m not being racist. Would not recommend. Place is also...

Frustrated with this place for a couple of reasons. The first is their contact information should be updated asap. I was going to make suggestions but my experience with them leaves me to believe no one should contact them anyway. I initially called the location twice to ask if they had elotes prior to coming and the phone went straight to voicemail twice. When I arrived I was glad they had so many choices. I was the only customer. The lady was rushing me to order. She quoted me an incorrect price and the menu prices are inaccurate. The elotes wasn't good. The corn was cold and she loaded it with parmasan cheese which didn't blend well with cold corn. The corn was also watery. It just wasn't good. The fruit was prepared in abundance. I'm not complaining but it was too messy. I was so excited but this just wasn't a good experience. She just smiled when I even suggested they update their contact info.
