Let me start by saying we love and frequent this Aldi location. Usually clean and fast and always have positive interactions with the employees, until today. We had placed a pick up order for YESTERDAY, and had received an update at the very end of the day to say it was being pushed until the next day (today) and that we’d receive and update between 12-1p. Okay, no problem, they’re a busy location, no hard feelings. Keep in mind we’ve already been charged for this substantial pick up order that includes food and items for our infant. So today, about 2 or 3, we go into the store because we’ve received no information. My boyfriend, who has an incredibly patient, calm and understanding demeanor, approached a manager who was extremely short and dismissive, annoyed even. She got someone else to assist, not a manager, but he was very kind and willing to assist within his capabilities. He ultimately had to go back to the manager who is now at a checkout, and she threw her hands in the air and said “we’ll then he can just call the 1800 number, there’s nothing we can do”. Now, even if that were true, the attitude by the manager in handling this situation was completely unprofessional and uncomfortable. This was a shortish Hispanic woman with dark and blonde streaked hair. Today may have been a bad day, but that’s not our fault. Reconsider your professional position if you’re unable to provide individualized and personable experiences to each and every customer. Especially those being kind and...
Read moreRe-Review -- Y'all, they've remodeled the store and it's really nice now! +1 more star. Original Review -- I kind of have a love-hate relationship with this store. Let's get the hate over with first, shall we? It's small, dingy, disorganized, has a depressing atmosphere, and the check-out line can get long. Ugh.
But what I like about it is the variety of interesting products they carry, and who can beat their prices? Especially on produce! And snacks, I've been buying far too many chips because of Aldi, haa. I now shop there first, and then go on to a different grocery to get the rest of my things, because with my small budget, the savings outweighs the hassle if I've got the energy that day. I look up their flyer online each week to make up my meal plans around what's on sale.
Just remember to take a quarter to use a shopping cart, and don't forget your reusable bags, you'll be bagging up your groceries at a separate counter. I've seen some clever people bring their own trolleys so they don't even need bags. One person even packed up their groceries in a rolling...
Read moreGreat place, great selection, great prices. Good employees but who focus too much on doing their job to a t and who don't listen to the customers when asked to stop tossing groceries into the cart as they're being rung up. I'm especially no fan of Adam as he's selectively social and won't hide it, almost as though he's proud to admit and show that he'll only be social and friendly with who he feels deserves to be socialized with and deserves friendly treatment. He's just very much a get you rung up and out guy with me and quite a few people, and I gotta say: IT'S A MAJOR TURN-OFF. Aldi, y'all are better than him and he needs y'all, not the other way around. Y'all can do better than having a guy who plays a version of "favorites" while working and is supposed to be being a pro as an employee. Please, by actually talking to him about that bs and getting it through to him to understand it needs to stop, prove me right and show me that I'm not displaced, misguided, or making the wrong choice in my choosing Aldi as my go-to...
