Although my family and I love golden chick I can't recommend this location. If there are cars all the way back to the ordering speaker you might as well go another place. On a number of visits I've pulled to the speaker to order with cars lined up to the window. I've spent 5 minutes waiting for them to take my order and another 15-20 waiting to get to the window. When you go as a family, which I no longer do, I suggest you bring something for the kids to entertain them. This location does not have speedy service in mind.
It's almost feels the same if three location is slow. They must not have anything cooked because it is about the time it takes to prepare the food. The food is usually great but I can't say the pieces are any kind of consistent. One time I'll order a 24 piece strip dinner and they'll be great sized pieces. They next time I'll get a 16 piece thinking last time was almost too much only to get pieces half the size as before. It's always difficult to judge the quantity I want to order due to being unsure if it'll be too much or too little. It's literally all over the board. The only thing I can say is consistent is when the pieces are small, they're all small. When the pieces are big, they're all big.
The Mac and Cheese use to be great and creamy. Lately they have been tasting like boxed powdered liked you'd get at the store. I love okra but theirs is horrible. They must not know how to cook it long enough. It'll be slimy pieces inside a crispy breading.

Read moreThis location has to be by far the absolute worst. I have had a few issues but my most recent visit prompted me to give them a nice review. I ordered a 10 piece initially but when i got to the window, i decided to add more. The young lady took my order and i waited for about 15 minutes for my food. When she finally returned with my food, she proceeded to tell me that they were out of gravy. (Shouldn't I have been told this at first because I dont want strips and mashed potatoes without gravy) Anyway, pulled up and checked my order. The okra was old, cold and stale and they forgot my peppers. The lobby doors were locked so i waited in line behind 2 cars for 30 minutes. (Thats how slow they are.) I advised the girl of the issue and she says well do you want another side or do you want the manager. Of course now i want the manager. He comes to the window and can barely speak English. He too, is unapologetic and acts like its not a big deal as if I am bothering them. So at that point, I decided that i want my money back. He says i cant get a refund at first and then tells me he needs my card. I know damn well they can not refund my card back. I told him to just give me cash. He said he couldnt and the shut the window. After about 5 minutes of watching him talk on the phone, i tapped the window and he rudely says hes calling his manager. Why? Read moreThis location is hit or miss. Our experience is that the food is delicious or meh, or somewhere in between, but leaning to pretty good. For some reason this location isn't like the others we frequent, where the food is always spot on. Sometimes the chicken and the sides are less than fresh, sometimes things are missing from an order that we've paid for. The majority of the time it's good but not spectacular. Quality control is lacking at this location, compared to the Arapaho/Custer location, but the staff are generally a lot more friendly at this location. We still enjoy going to this location, and in all honesty it's usually great more than it's meh. If they would tighten up the quality control just a bit, they'd be great all the time.
Update: August 1, 2024: We've been back to this particular establishment a few times and it does seem to have improved rather significantly. We've not had any food that was sub-par since out last "problem visit" and even that wasn't that big of a deal, the food just wasn't "remarkable" like it usually is. It seems like they addressed the quality control issues, and the employees even seen more friendly as of late, so I don't know if it was a change of staff or just education, but whatever it seems to be working.
