I went to dinner to celebrate a friends birthday. We were given to go menu's for ordering. I ordered the seafood special. It came and i saw mushrooms which i am allergic to. The waiter got the manager who had an attitude. Instead of being polite and asking how can i help u. He was rude and said "what do u want." I then explained im allergic to mushrooms. He then rudely asked me if i wanted it to be remade. I answered yes. The next day i called and explained the situation and was told they would leave the manager a note. I questioned the to go menu's and was told thats what they give. Had i of gotten a real menu i would of known. The individual i talked on the phone was also rude and i asked about the manager. He told me that was the assistant manger and then asked me is that all i wanted. I used to go to the Southlake location with no issues but it closed. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been a loyal customer of Howard Wangs for a few years now. I typically order delivery from the 1-2 times a week. During my last order, they forgot to deliver my hot and sour soup. I ran outside and caught the delivery driver and let him know it was missing. He said "don't worry, I will take care of you next time and bring you a large soup." I told him that his suggestion was fine and that I would add a note to my next order.
Today, I placed a new order and the restaurant refused to add the soup since they didn't save it in their system. It's kind of sad that 1) the delivery driver forgot an item, 2) promised to fix it, 3) later refused to fix it, and of course 4) lost a long time customer....actually make that multiple customers. A soup cost nothing compared to what they are loosing in the long run. I am spreading the word based on principal.
Take care of your people...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDisappointed. We live in the neighborhood and have dined here as well as ordered take-out for years. But the last couple take-out orders have not been a good experience. First, they've overcooked my husband's salmon more than once and his comment was that it tasted like salmon jerky. Second, I asked them to remove 3 ingredients from my Hunan Chicken order and substitute broccoli instead. They charged me an extra $2 for this even though I removed 3 ingredients! Plus I had specifically voiced my concern about this practice to a cashier at a prior visit! Third, they have switched the type of plastic container used for take-out and it is ridiculously difficult to open. Sadly, I don't think we'll be ordering take-out from Howard Wang's again. Maybe we'll still go there to dine at the restaurant, but right now, we have a bad taste in our mouth...
