So my friend and I decided to order Chinese food and wanted to try J J's since it is right down the street. First food was hot when it got here and quicker than it first said when I placed the order. Now to the food. For the baby girl we got her rice and a piece of chicken. She didn't like the rice but she loved the chicken strip and the broccoli from my meal. To be honest I don't think that the chicken strip is worth the price especially since it was small and greasy but the breading was good so I can imagine what the fish would be like even though I wouldn't pay the $23 plus for 3 PCs of chicken and 12 shrimp. My friend and I both ordered the General Tsos chicken she got the low mein for her side and I got the egg roll. We both agreed that if you love spicy then get this because it really was but it was extremely sweet and she thought it tasted more like BBQ pork minus the mustard. She didn't finish hers and I'll definitely be doctoring mine up tomorrow. I will say that I'm grateful that they didn't over fry the chicken like most places do so when I reheat it I'll still be...

Aside from a bit of heat the sauce was just a muddy mix of bland flavors with no sign of any garlic. I wouldn't be surprised if it came out of a can. The fried rice was as pathetic as others here have commented with way too much soy sauce and just a few peas and carrots that most certainly came frozen in a bag. The egg roll was simply inedible.
Also got some onion rings on the side, which had far too much breading making the onion and the inside of the breading a mushy paste rather than crisp and firm. And the breading was completely devoid of any seasoning, even salt. At least what they lack in quality is made up for in quantity. They packed the box full and it was noticeably heavy for having onion rings in it.
And if that weren't bad enough, the prices are too high for what you get. The ONLY thing that saves this from being a one-star review is that I didn't get...
Read moreSoooo....what can I say about J J's. I visited them one time and it was probably my very last. I gave them 3 stars because they substituted an item without an upcharge. I ordered combination fried rice and 2 egg rolls. I cannot speak for their other items, but what I had was crappy. The fried rice was super soft, nearly gummy. The food was not seasoned. Listen hear J J's, that's some horrible combination fried rice you have. I understand that some people complain about salt, but come on now, no seasoning whatsoever. Learn to at least mildly season. I tried them because of a recommendation and because there are 0 good places in that area that has "Chinese food". They may have good chicken (never tried it), but they get 1 star for their combination fried rice. Too scared to try the chicken part because the rice part was ugh. Try them for yourself, but you have...
