John's Seafood — Restaurant in Dallas

HORRIBLE....I ordered the popcorn shrimp and a catfish fillet dinner which came with one tartar sauce each I asked for an additional tartar sauce and the worker told me that she could only give me one and that there was a $0.25 charge for the additional tartar sauce. I explained that I had purchased two different dinners and each of them were going to separate locations. The workers still refuse to give the condiment of one additional tartar sauce unless I gave $0.25. The total amount that I purchased with my debit card was $14.06. I advised the worker that if I did not receive the $0.25 condiment for free that I would request a refund on my entire order. The worker saw that it was best to refund my $14.05 purchase which I have attached as a photo instead of giving me $0.25 worth of tartar sauce. They kept the food and the entire duration there were no other customers to come through the drive-thru or the inside so I am led to believe that they're going to take the food that was delivered to my vehicle that I held in my hand that I opened up smelled and took one bite of the popcorn shrimps I believe they're going to restock that and wait for someone else to come through the drive-thru so buyer beware of...

First time coming here, I came in blind , as far as not looking at reviews and stuff. At first it seemed sketchy but then I realized I was in pleasant grove. So I order the 2 fish fillets and six shrimp with fries and a sprite. For about 20 bucks. The whole alley of going around to the other side of the store to the next window to get your food is kinda weird and didn't give me a good vibe at all. Really gives it the meaning of "Hood store". I was asked to wait until my food came brought to me and I waited about 10-15 min. Now, the food was hot and fresh. The catfish fillets were longer and wider then my hands and thick of flesh. Golden crispy in a cornmeal breading, and crispy, golden, hot fries with hot sauce. I took a bite of one of the 6 shrimp and had to question myself what I was really eating.. as I investigated I realized the shrimp were covered in a thick batter, much more then the meat of the shrimp. So more batter less shrimp. . The shrimp themselves were butterflied and devain but the breading could have been less. The service was great. Very nice and friendly staff! I'll return to try...

I read the reviews and thought it may be ok. Well just get the fish cause and it's not the best but better than all else on the menu. It's cooked fresh but The fish is thin i don't think it's catfish, likely Talapia. The Shrimp was tiny with a ton of breading and just terrible. I saw a review that said the same but i had no idea, this is really bad. The Shrimp fried rice is by far the worse ever. Teeny dried out brine shrimp, in hard old rice with crumpled up veggies that should have been in the trash. I spent 50 dollars for food basically what was to be thrown away. I work in the food industry and expected ok food. But this was terrible disgusting garbage. Maybe this maybe that but I am thoroughly convinced some of the Asian folk play us like we are stupid. Bet this John's won't ever get another penny from me or my family. Stay away. No I don't want any free garbage! Disgusting petty...
