I shifted over to Papa John's because of their fast delivery. I always order online, which is very convenient. I read some of the other reviews griping about delivery times, but that has been far from my experiences. Sometimes it takes as little as 20 minutes to get my pizza. And, it is always reasonably hot. I would give them 5 stars, but they seem to be kinda skimpy on their pepperoni lately. The slices seem like they are cut with a microtome. At 75, I admit my taste buds are begining to slow down. But, I had trouble tasting the pepperoni on my last pizza. However, I give them 5 stars for their stuffed crust! CHEESEEE! Another gripe I have concerns the "delivery fee". I know all pizza places charge one, but it is just not right. It does not take the establishment any more time or effort to prepare a delivery order. I understand that the driver does all the prep anyway. It is just a "hidden fee" to jack up the price of the pizza. Most sadly, it detracts from my ability... my desire... to tip the driver. Honestly, I'd be tipping twice as much if it weren't for this insidious fee. I believe that some place would have just as many patrons if they upped the price of the pizza to reality and advertised "no...
Read moreI literally, not figuratively, live 10 minutes away from this location. Last night I ordered a pizza that showed up an hour and a half late. It was supposed to be delivered between 7:54pm- 8:07pm. When it got to being 20 minutes late, at 8:27pm, I called for an update on my delivery to which I was told “it’s being boxed up right now”. Once 9:05 comes around, now my order is an hour late, I called a second time and the same gentleman told me “your order left about 5 minutes ago”. 9:40pm my order finally arrives, 35 minutes after my second call, the delivery guy handed me my order and turned around and walked away and didn’t say one word. Absolutely ridiculous. I will no longer order from this location merely based off of the fact alone that no seemed to care or act as if anything was wrong. Also, if the pizza tracker has any accuracy to it what so ever, your customers can tell when you’re lying to them when you’re telling them that it’s “already left” or “on its way” and the tracker tells you “it’s being boxed” for an...
Read morePizza isn't as salty as other pizza places. Actually it's not salty at all. That's a good thing. Their customer service is a bit off.
I ordered a pizza online for delivery to my apartment. I submitted instructions how to enter my apartment with the door code. The older African American man with glasses who delivered my pizza called for instructions and door code and was curt when I told him I had given instructions online.
He waved the receipt and said SEE, NO INSTRUCTIONS ON HERE. It didn't even have my apartment number. I'm sure I'm not the first customer to be surprised to receive a call for instructions after having given instructions online.
It's a correction Pappa Johns corporate needs to correct. No customer wants to be bothered with a phone call and then made to feel as if it was our fault. The apartment number and instructions needs to show up on the receipt, if not, why even have the customer submit that...
