In a serious cold snap and freezing temperatures. The cottage was warm, welcoming & just the place to shoot a few shots of Jamison to warm the heart, soul & and cockles, etc. The owner was there to assist clients in need of a tasty libation. My old partner and great friend were there with me, and satisfied we were to see the absolutely stunning lady that owns this and other bars. We have known and loved her since the early 90's when she was our favorite bartender at O'Reilly's. I think of warm memories and great times each and every time I hit this place. If you want a good time and like to party. The cottage is the place, the booze is great, the women are hot, and I couldn't ask for anything more from a bar. If you have a hungry belly and your stomach is thinking your throat must have been slit. The burgers are incredibly good, and you can find many other incredibly good meals to go with your good times. If you don't go check it out once you forever remain ignorant of all the cottage has to offer.. next time you are there, say high to Kelly at the bar & thank Heather for the amazing night you are absolutely in the process of having. I love the cottage and recommend it to one and all. If you see me there, I'll happily buy you a drink if...
Read moreThe Cottage has some truly great people. The crowd is friendly, energetic, and full of talent — the kind of community that makes a karaoke night special. Unfortunately, the experience is completely derailed by the karaoke host.
From the moment you walk in, it’s obvious this is a tight-knit clique — and if you’re not part of it, don’t expect a fair shot at the mic. The host doesn’t hide it either. Playing favorites, skipping over people who aren’t part of the “in crowd,” or pushing you back with vague excuses — it’s all part of the routine.
I’ve been there enough times to see the pattern: regulars get priority while new or talented singers wait around, get one song in (if that), and leave feeling like they wasted their night. It’s especially frustrating because the vibe from the people is genuinely welcoming — but the host creates a barrier that ruins what should be a fun, inclusive event.
Karaoke isn’t supposed to be a popularity contest. It’s supposed to be about community, fun, and giving everyone a chance to shine. Until The Cottage brings in a host who reflects the spirit of the crowd, it’s always going to feel like you’re stepping into someone else’s...
Read moreGo see Kelly! I recently started coming here and when I first met her I instantly knew I was about to become a regular! She's so much fun! She remembers my name, my drink, what I like to order and even things I like to talk about. She's really something! Not to mention she can whip up one of the best burgers I've had in recent memory. I'm not exaggerating, I actually drive to places about once a week in order to seek out a delicious burger and the one Kelly F. makes is at the top of the list, it's lights out. Another thing I like about her is she knows nearly every word to every song I play on the juke box. She's like a human encyclopedia. We like to sing and dance to nearly every song that comes on, she's so much fun! She's also a great conversationalist and makes me feel important and because of it I always want to stay for a long time to eat, drink, put money in the juke box, sing and have fun. Every time I'm with Kelly F. I have a blast...it's because of her that I'll be coming back and bringing a lot of friends. Talk soon Kelly! Thanks...
