This small lake and trail has a wonderful view, peaceful setting and is right in the middle of Dallas and close to the Park Cities, Northwest Dallas and Bluffview neighborhoods. Great for dog lovers, picnics and relaxation.
Located on the cusp of a very diverse but somewhat lower class area with mainly Spanish speaking residents, families and businesses, but strangely also down the street from upper middle class areas with wealthy households.
You will see beggars, wanderers, and less desirables loitering around, so do be careful. I can't recommend women coming alone or anyone being there in the evening. The Bachman area is just not safe enough for that. Lot of crime, drugs and shady people living in low rent apartments nearby.
Lake and greens could be maintained better. Water is a fairly filthy, and there is a bit of trash and litter in places. No facilities like a restroom or anything either. Easy access by DART bus and good amount of parking available.
While its not nearly as safe or clean as White Rock Lake, this is a decent park to try out or visit if you live nearby. But I can't recommend going out of your way to come...

It began quietly, as such things often do.
Just after dusk, when the wind settled and the lake turned to glass, people started hearing her—an eerie wail rising from the trees near the east shore. Low and mournful, it drifted through the air like fog, chilling even the most skeptical hearts.

Some say she was a mother who lost her child in the water long ago. Others whisper that she died waiting for a lover who promised to meet her by the lake, but never came.
Whatever the truth, she returns with the fading sun. The park empties early now. Even the birds go quiet.
And if you ever hear the banshee’s cry from the trees, don’t answer. Just...
Read moreCan you describe the beautiful park in Dallas? I absolutely adore the scenery and the tranquil water. When I stroll through the park, the low-flying airplanes create a serene ambiance. I frequently spot people walking their dogs and children, all engaged in joyful play. I find great solace in long walks, accompanied by my favorite music. This park becomes my sanctuary when the gym or other parks are crowded. This season, I’ve shed 20 pounds, and unfortunately, none of my clothes fit anymore. 😂😂😂
This park is my go-to destination, and the pleasant weather outside makes it even more inviting. I’m so grateful to have a gym bag in my trunk for workout days, because the sweat is no joke! My gym bag is stocked with essentials like extra towels, Dove Sensitive soap, Olay Strawberry and Mint soap, deodorant, extra panties, sports bras, tights, dresses, tennis shoes, sandals, lotion, perfume, a toothbrush, and toothpaste for these days. I drove off listening to Fool of Me by Meshell...
