My name is Ken’Neyzha I am writing to bring to your attention some concerning issues that I have observed in the workplace while working here
I have observed the following issues: WE GOT ROACHES!!!!
Inappropriate behavior: There have been instances of managers engaging in inappropriate behavior, including flirting with minors. Davion Adam’s,Eli C
Sanitary concerns: There is a presence of roaches at the store , which poses a health and safety risk to employees and customers.
Fraternization: Managers taking team members home and hanging together outside of work including minors. (Davion,bonnie,kiana/keke)
Verbal abuse: The Operations Manager has been reported to use derogatory language and mocking the color purple towards employees, including calling them derogatory names.(Alice, Angelica calling employees dumb and stupid and yelling)
Physical intimidation: There have been incidents where the Operations Manager physically intimidated employees, including wiping her hands on them and making inappropriate comments about their appearance.(Alice, causing Jaylin to quit )
Unprofessional conduct during breaks: Managers have been observed smoking with employees during breaks, which has resulted in tardiness upon returning to work.
Favoritism and unequal treatment: There are concerns about favoritism towards certain employees, as well as differences in treatment between new and longstanding employees. (Alice fired me because I so called “ stole “ food when I was actually going to pay for it when I got my paycheck because it was just $5 I am black African American. But another employee was caught making someone food and did not have a receipt for it he was pulled into the office with the manager and team leader and he is still employed but I just got fired for getting food and it not being paid for and this employee is white. Alice plays favoritism and she treats this employee differently from others so as he is racist with her he said “ BLM doesn’t matter” and I was very offended and Alice started to act differently towards me because I told on him and every since then Alice was looking to fire me she’s trying to find a reason to fire me)
Lack of proper training: New employees have reported feeling disrespected and unsupported, with instances of being spoken to disrespectfully rather than receiving adequate training and guidance.
(Alice made fun of my brother because he could not clean the grill correctly. He got shot in his right arm and he could not scrape it right and she tried to act so surprised when a team leader told her about it, she is very rude and has a nasty attitude towards the employees.)
THERE NEEDS TO BE AN INVESTIGATION...
Read moreMy child and I stopped by about 5:20 p.m. on July 9th. It was a special treat because we rarely get to go to Whataburger. We ordered our meals and I added on a brownie for $2 that was showing on the drive-thru menu.
When we got to the window, I noticed that we were overcharged on the brownie. I told the very nice young woman at the window that we were overcharged and she went to go tell her manager. She came back telling me that he told me that I had to go on the app to request my money? Misinformation if I ever heard it. So I asked to speak to the manager. Instead of trying to give me good customer service, he tried to bully me. He told me that instead of him refunding the money that he had obviously overcharged me, that I could return next time and get a free brownie. Instead of having me drive across town to possibly get a free brownie who knows when, why didn't he just offer it to me then? I would have been fine with that. But, at this location, the customer is always wrong. I told him several times that I wanted my money back and then he came up with the lame excuse that that he would have to credit me my entire bill and then recharge my credit card. Then I had to wait for him to acknowledge that, yes, I actually did want the money that I had been requesting several times so if that wad the way to do it, then he should do so. After this ordeal, I was able to leave having been charged the correct amount.... with our cold food. Stay away from this location. Reason number one to not go? The manager is rude and bullies not only to the customers but the staff. Reason number two to not go: the homeless encamped at the door. It may not be their fault that they're out on the streets, and, yes, that is terrible. However... most people do not want to walk through two or three homeless people with their stacks of belongings to go inside a Whataburger. We had planned on eating inside but didn't because of this. And we did not feel comfortable eating in the parking lot, so had to eat in the parking lot across the street. Reason number three to not eat there: you have to dig in your heels to get charged correctly for what will be cold food by the time you're finally...
Read moreTexans take great pride in Whataburger, and when In-N-Out came to town all the trash talking began. If you haven't read my review for the latter, you'll know that I find it almost impossible to beat In-N-Out in the burger game, but Whataburger puts up the best fight in the fast food burger category.
Let's start with the basics. Texas loves mustard-based burgers, and this is no exception. The quality of meat is probably in the top 3 for me, and it's well seasoned. Although, I still haven't adjusted to chopped lettuce on a burger.
The price for a double burger combo (standard burger review order) is actually less than In-N-Out, which I give them credit for. The combo is under $12. I'm not sure if they could maintain this price point in CA, but regardless of that, it's still the best value in the space.
The fries are probably the industry's closest to McDonald's (still the gold standard), but when paired with the quality of the burger, In-N-Out is really their only competition. There's also the addition of more sauces, spicy ketchup being my favorite.
Whataburger offers a larger menu selection than most fast food joints, and to be honest, I don't actually think their burger is their best meal. The Pattie Melt has more flavor and is a perfect match for the fries, but this is a burger review. So yeah, top 3.
Where the experience really falls apart is the environment. It doesn't always feel like the employees have as much pride in Whataburger as the people that eat there, as customer service is average at this location.
I was the only one in line at this location and this was my experience...
The employee that was counting the drawer ignored me. The second person that came to validate the count ignored me. Finally, a third person from the back came to ask if I'd been helped. By this time I'd been standing right in front of the register for about six minutes. Keep in mind that there are no kiosks here, so it was just people not really paying attention.
Overall, it's one of the best fast food burgers, so regardless of everything else, it's a solid...
