We spend a lot of time here with the grandkids. It's a good spot to work on beginning bike skills without getting bombed by the Lycra crowd. Also good perch fishing in the Reinhart Branch Creek below the bridge. We've seen coyotes regularly and in the spring Bard owls have nested for many years in a tree across the road from the toilets. There's a red tailed hawk that nests in the tree next to the road by the Reinhart Branch. After dark, sit at a picnic table (bug spray required) and listen quietly. You'll hear an owl for sure.

Clean?! Neat?! Nice?! NOT even close. So many faulty reviews about White rock creek greenbelt. Talk about texas pride, I guess yall love having parks full of trash and lacking care. It's very pathetic to see nice reviews and see the complete opposite in person. I feel bad for the turtles in the creek that are vulnerable to all the junk that people are leaving in this area. It has so much potential but it seems like the community doesn't care to be around a bunch of 💩

The trails are great, though maintenence lags somewhat. My big downer is the presence of all the trash in the brush and along the creek. White Rock trail and all of the connected parks could be the emerald in the city's crown with a concerted effort to make it a groomed space, and with active stream management to remove dead fall to help...
