Ave Maria Colombian Restaurant — Restaurant in Dalworthington Gardens

I’m Colombian and currently pregnant, so when the cravings hit, they hit. I was really looking forward to trying Ave Maria after finding them on Google while searching for Colombian food in DFW. Their hours online said they were open Sunday from 1–8pm, so my husband and I made the trip out specifically to eat there today (Sunday)… only to find them completely closed.

We double-checked Google, called twice, and waited but no answer and no sign explaining the closure. As someone who was really looking for a little taste of home, especially in this season, it was disappointing and honestly frustrating. I understand that things happen, it’s not the end of the world. We ended up going to Sabor Latino Juiceland about 10 minutes away and still got our Colombian fix, thankfully!

That said, this place really needs to communicate better. If hours change or you're unexpectedly closed, please update your Google listing or put a notice on the door. People plan around these things—especially pregnant women on a mission for bandeja paisa!

Ordered food from here a couple of times and it was been okay but it’s the only “Colombian” restaurant around and I am originally from Colombia so this is as closed as it gets. Today I experienced the worst service!! I ordered online with 40 mins in advance and when I got there they didn’t even see my order placed troughs DoorDash- no even apologetic of my time wasted as I had to wait another 40 mins for my food! Today I come to this Ford truck and then I’ll order a couple things. They say they are not in stock but we can call my boss and tell him bring it to you, which is have around 20 minutes away for it. I was a agreed i pay everything. I’ll wait on my car almost 25 minutes when I come back to supposed to be picked up my food they say oh my boss making a mistake and he bring the wrong items.
