A group of us (10 people) were in visiting from out of town, when we arrived we were the only guest in the place which wasn’t surprising for the time & day, but now it all makes sense.. The bartender was one of the most unpleasant I’ve ever met, she didn’t greet us, until nearly forced to do so (first red flag). Once she gave us drinks we went down & played pool. The clear piece where the balls collect was removed from the pool table itself allowing us free access. After a few games she approached us and stated that it wasn’t supposed to be that way & found the key to lock it… (second red flag) strange... While she was doing this, some others from the group were playing shuffleboard & corn hole. Once we all decided to cash out she added 2 hours of shuffleboard play time to our bill, we played a total of 5ish games with absolutely no mention of having to pay per hour from the bartender, the only staff member in the place..! It’s sad because this is a fun place and has a lot of potential. The food was mediocre bar food at best. I’ve worked in the restaurant/bar industry for 5+ years and have never experienced anything like this, very...
Read moreNormally, when ordering take out here, the service is fine and the food is delicious. However, today, the service was abysmal and the sandwiches mediocre; not only did they not tell us that one of the cheeses that we choose was unavailable, but the "chef" behind the counter knowingly chose another cheese to put on in its place without asking. I wonder if he also chose to substitute in the plastic that we found in another one of our orders? It's hard to imagine that it wasn't deliberate considering our sandwiches, 4 in total, took over 30 minutes to come out. Honestly, all of this could've been forgiven if our waitress managed to apologize even once for any number of mishaps or poor service (which occurred when there were only two tables and a few people at the bar. God forbid they ever experience a lunch rush.) I have to consider the positive experiences, which haven't been few, from the past in rating this place, however it will be a long time before we forget how we were treated. Also, next time, I'd love to have my coffee creamer before I'm done with my cup, but that really seems minor compared to...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting The Erie Social Shuffleboard Club and Bar. The atmosphere was lively and inviting, and the staff was friendly and helpful.
The shuffleboard was a lot of fun and the staff provided us with some great tips on how to improve our game. The beer selection was great and the drinks were cold and delicious.
We came here for a friend's birthday and had a wonderful time. Two shuffleboard lanes for around 20 people was more than enough for everyone to get a couple rounds in in our two hour time.
Overall, I had a really great time at The Erie Social Shuffleboard Club and Bar. The staff was attentive and the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun night out. I look forward to...
