Root to Rise Wellness Cafe — Restaurant in Portage Township

There is a shared gravel lot with a yoga studio, the main parking is along the front of the Cafe. The menus were kind of hard to find at 1st, they are behind the 2nd main door at the entrance inside. The customer service was absolutely excellent, they worked with me on all my wants from the menu. The employees even packed up my food for me when I was ready to go, they were top notch. The food is locally made and very fresh. I believe that this is the reason for the cost to be a little high, and it was well worth it. The cafe inside brings a lot of the yoga vibe from the studio next door, it’s very peaceful inside with some fun modern country music playing. The furniture inside is modern, clean and looks like it’s from cute studio. You’re able to hear how many of people that go there are very familiar with the employees and hold great conversations. I was able to hear and learn a lot about the area just sitting in this cafe waiting for my food. The iced Oat cookie coffee was very good also. It’s a must try if you love healthy...

Our brunch at Root to Rise was a true delight. We were passing through the area after a stay on Kelleys Island and are so glad we stopped! We had the Golden Mind Protein Milk, so perfectly spiced and smooth and made fresh. We also tried the Farmer Fellini’s Panini, Forager Panini and Mimi’s Panini. The sandwiches were freshly made on the most delicious seedy multigrain bread that melted in our mouths. Each sandwich was perfectly balanced with flavor and texture. SO GOOD! We also tried the Chai Latte and Lavender London Fog Latte. We appreciated these hot teas were not overly sweet, we could actually taste the spice and delicate lavender. Craved coffee at 12:00 pm so I figured I’d stop by and grab something. To support local business you know. I double checked the schedule and drove 15 minutes to get there. Just to realize they have the door locked with their open sign and schedule showing they should be open. Not to mention the employee that came to the door made sure it was locked and then walked away without telling us if there was a reason they were closed, no sign or anything. And I fully could have been wrong I was willing to accept that but there were plenty of people sitting inside. Maybe the universe was giving me a sign not to come here I’m sure the menu was as good as the service trash and I would not recommend. Took the drive to Biggby Coffee instead much...
