This restaurant is right off the road and has a very small parking lot behind it, maximum maybe 3-4 standard sized cars. The interior is small but cozy, they’ve got 2 booths and about 5-6 normal tables. Partner and I came in for a late lunch about 3:30pm on a Thursday. We were the only patrons which was nice. We were greeted right away and picked our seats. I wish they offered complimentary tea or water but no big deal. Customer service was still super nice and attentive. For appetizers we ordered the fried gyoza. I ordered the Golden Bridge Sushi Roll and kimchi jigae, and my partner got miso soup, Snow White (yellow tail) and the Tuna Trio (spicy). The fried gyoza was super light and crispy. Honestly, the best gyoza I’ve ever had. The kimchi jigae for me wasn’t as brothy as I would have liked, but they gave me plenty of pork that literally fell off the bone because it was so tender. My partner really enjoyed our lunch and we look forward to visiting one more time before our visit in Danbury ends. Highly recommend trying them out!! Everything we had was delicious!! You can also order for takeout and just do a pick up if you'd like. Safety: They do not check temps or vaccination status but all staff wear masks and the whole restaurant is clean. Hand sanitizers are available at the table. HOURS: (As of this review in Dec 2021) Sunday 12:30 - 8:30 pm Monday 11:30 - 9:30 pm Tuesday CLOSED Wed + Thurs 11:30- 9:30 pm Fri + Sat 11:30 to 10 pm

Edo II, located in Danbury, CT, is a standout destination for those craving asian cuisine in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. As soon as you step inside, you are greeted by a warm ambiance and friendly staff, setting the tone for a pleasant dining experience. The menu at Edo II offers a wide range of traditional Korean/Japanesedishes, with a particular emphasis on sushi and sashimi. The freshness of the seafood is immediately apparent, with each piece of sushi expertly crafted and beautifully presented. The variety of rolls caters to both traditionalists and those seeking more creative combinations. Favorites like the spicy tuna roll and the dragon roll are consistently delicious, showcasing the chef’s skill and attention to detail. Service at Edo II is attentive and efficient. The staff are knowledgeable about the menu and are happy to accommodate special requests or dietary restrictions. They are also adept at providing recommendations based on individual preferences. Pricing at Edo II is reasonable, particularly given the quality of the ingredients and the care taken in preparation. Portion sizes are generous, ensuring that diners leave satisfied.

The building may be small but the food and service is huge. This is first-class Japanese and Korean fare that not only tastes delicious but is artistically crafted to look delicious. The sushi and sashimi are expertly prepared; if you're really hungry go for the dinner combo which not only includes large portions of both but also Miso soup and salad. You can tell the rolls (e.g. vegatable) are homemade, they have that paper thin pastry fresh taste and texture to them unlike those at many restaurants that simply buy frozen. I really like the quiet, intimate setting (which lends itself to quick and great service), the quality and presentation of the food as well as its convenient location.

came here twice, waitstaff are friendly, there are only like 5 or 6 tables and some seats at the sushi bar, the owner makes the sushi solo and tackles tables dining in and takeout simultaneously, and we order a lot of sushi, what a legend

let me just say, I've tried sushi in ridgefield, bethel, and most of danbury, this place has by far the BEST quality ingredients. The raw seafood, the size of each piece of each roll, the rice, everything is just perfect. Seafood as everyone knows is not cheap so when you pay $100, $200, $300 and so on for it you want fresh, delicious, quality, and some other restaurants seems to be unable to source that, but Edo is on point.

The atmosphere is one that you make on your own, no music, no tv's, it's byob, a great little escape from reality while you enjoy probably some of the best food I've had in a long time. I have yet to try the Korean cuisine, just basic apps and sushi

but you can't go wrong with any dish there because the quality you are getting from 1 roll of sushi translates to everything else, everything is made with care, love, and passion.

if you want quality then come here, bring your own bottle of whatever you...
