Kai's Place — Restaurant in Danbury

Ordered out from here last night. There was a long line, and some people thought they could jump the line for their take out. Some left rather than wait, making it worse for everybody because the kitchen was making orders that never got picked up. My suggestion is to require payment when placing orders. Our food was very good. The dumplings had a nice pork flavor and the egg rolls were better than most. General Tso's Chicken and Chicken with Garlic Sauce were both delicious, and not that spicy. Sorry to write such a review but got dinner last night and it was terrible. Sesame chicken was the size of grapes and all grizzle, grease, and soggy. I cut into 5 of the pieces and only one had any noticeable chicken, the size of a pea. Pork fried rice was half white rice half light tan colored rice, so white rice with some sauce drizzled on top. You mixed the rice and there were huge clumps of white rice. Husband got shrimp with noodles that was edible, chicken went into the garbage. Gave 2 stars for the average shrimp and noodles. Such phenomenal cuisine and service that is really impressive. The hostess is so sweet and welcoming - she even brings you some excellent ginger tea while you read over your menu. EVERYTHING I have ordered is execellent from the hot and sour soup to the chicken stick appetizer and all the entrees - The flavor is noticeably different and tops all your typical chinese fare in the area.
