Padaminas NY Bakery — Restaurant in Danbury

Being married into a Brazilian family, I know tasty Brazilian food and baked goods. I usually praise this place for cleanliness and the food. I came here one afternoon in need of something baked and sweet. As usual the place was clean and wasn't too busy. Went up to the counter and noticed a small variety which was sad being that it was an afternoon and the display barely had anything. I made the choice of 1/2 lb of casadinhos com goiabada The next day I was home and started popping them in my mouth with some coffee. They had a stale taste and quite crunchy but nothing could stop me from eating them. As I looked at the bag and grabbed another, I noticed something on one of them. Mold. These were old and I was eating them. If you come here make sure to ask them when they are made. My opinion of the place has gone down...

Came here for Brazilian coxinhas, risolis, pasteis and picked up bread, and some other assorted products like candy, chocolates, Guarana, coffee. Although I ordered 3 days before, my order was still not ready when we got there so my daughter and I sat down and had some lunch. Food was good. But after spending over $130 in total, I never got so much as a thank you from ANYONE, not the people behind the counter or people that appeared to be managers/owners. Unbelievably rude. Being Brazilian myself, I was surprised at how my fellow countrymen and women behave when they feel they’re successful enough that you no longer need to have manners. Never going there again. For the past few months, I have ordered a Brazilian pastry called coxinha. Não catupiry. it is some sort of cream cheese which me and my wife we hate it but every time that we ordered a swap that’s why I came in so I spoke to a young lady in the phone. She told me I will take care of you don’t worry about it, so I stop by one of the other girls I do not know her name full of tattoos, she told me a lot of times customers play the wrong order I told her once twice three times she did not care.
