Double Twister Ice Cream — Restaurant in Danbury

Ok so I came here lastnight (04/13/22) around 8pm and not only was I horrified and disgusted at what I whiteness I strongly advise everyone for the health and safety standards do not get ice cream from here. My boyfriend was at the register paying for our ice cream and I had to use to bathroom so I am waiting I hear the toilet flush the water DID NOT run and the worker (late 20s man potentially the owners son) walks out the bathroom eating an apple…. 🤢 first off eating inside the bathroom is a huge sanitary issue. I was standing there waiting I clearly heard the toilet flush NO water run and he walked out eating. DISGUSTING then proceeded to touch everything behind the counter. We threw our ice cream out because at that point we don’t know what kind of cross contamination is going...

Poor customer service/management of adolecent employees. We arrived 20 minutes before close and were told that certain menu items weren't available because machines had been shut down for the night. We then choose (2nd choice) soft serve ice cream which was 1) only partially frozen (soupy) and 2) fell off of two of the cones that we had purchased (forced to get a cup while ice cream was literally melting in our hand). We then sat down to try to enjoy our ice cream experience when the staff began to shut off the lights (5 minutes to close) and then asked us to leave (1 minute to close). Friendly staff. I went there a while back and their portions were wonderful for what they charged. I ordered a medium sundae with ice cream, caramel, and whipped cream. Their medium sundae consisted of a really tiny foam cup, a scoop of ice cream, a little drizzle of caramel sauce. Not a sundae at all. They should be ashamed at the prices that they are charging for what should be a kids size sundae for like 7 dollars. My friend wanted just a medium cup of ice cream. Basically, it's just a scoop of ice cream, and barely even filled the cup. I couldn't believe what they are giving for their prices.
