This location doesn’t deserve any stars in my opinion. If I could give them a negative 10 or higher on here I would. I called the store last night & I got a man named Paul. I told him there were a few pictures frames that were all the same I wanted to come in & buy. I had a hard time hearing him & I asked him several times to speak up & the volume on my phone was working & loud. I’m not deaf or hard of hearing so it’s something with their phones as he had no sympathy for how he treated me as a customer. When he told me he had these frames in stock I asked him to put 3 on hold thinking it wouldn’t be an issue as I was able to do this with other Michael’s locations. Paul gave me false information & I go to the store the next day being threatened to be kicked out & called rude along with many other names because Paul put frames on hold for me. I asked for the names of those workers & they refused to give me their names. I still bought the frames & when my mother asked for them to be wrapped so they wouldn’t get broken they had no bubble wrap or paper to wrap them in. I called Michael’s customer service to speak to corporate. If corporate cannot do anything then I will be returning the frames to Michael’s & never shopping at a Michael’s again. Joann Fabrics has better customer service than how I was treated today so I’m beyond disgusted & livid with Michael’s as everyone in the Brookfield CT store needs to fired & learn some respect for a customer. Read moreI want to share about the exceptional experience I had with Michaels in Brookfield, Ct store. I had a large original piece of artwork framed at their framing department. It took unusually long to get back to me and when it was completed, it was not at all what I expected. The quality was sub standard for Michaels. I called the store and the manager Michele happened to answer. I stated my issue and she was incredibly concerned and ready to resolve the issue. She said to bring it back and would like the opportunity to make things right. I was reluctant at first since it was such a large piece and a hassle to transport but I agreed as I have always been a loyal Michaels customer. I picked up my piece today and it was reframed and absolutely perfect. It was a challenge to frame due to its size but they re-did it and were very professional about how they handled it. Read moreI came in to exchange a skein of yarn- I bought the wrong color when it had gone on sale and simply wanted to switch it out based on whatever their protocol is to maintain their inventory counts. The associate told me that Michaels doesnt do exchanges unless the item is damaged and I request the same item, same color. I told her that didnt make sense because I'm willing to get the same brand skein of yarn but just a different color and all the colors from this brand are priced the same. She was adamant that they cannot do that so I asked to speak to the manager who was just as rude. You'd think I was trying to steal from the store. So customers beware: if you're going in to get exactly what you need, the store is great but if you want to exchange something, prepare for it to be a 30 minute ordeal with rude service.
