The best pizza in the bay area hands down if you like new york style pizza. It is on another level compared to other places in the area. From the oven to the crust sauce cheese and toppings everything is top notch. Everyone should try this place at least once and you will be a customer for life. If you don't like the pizza here then you don't like new york style pizza. It's great and the staff is friendly and go the extra mile. I had one server ask me if I was ok with the breeze because I was by the door and offered to let me move anywhere I felt more comfortable if I wanted. I didn't ask by the way they just wanted to make sure I was comfortable. My last visit the manager noticed I was a veteran as I was paying my bill (I had my ID next to my credit card I didn't bring it up) and he told me that he needed to redo my bill. Gave me 20% off on the spot without even a word. I wish i could remember his name because i would thank...

Spent $33 including tip on a small 10" 1/2 pepperoni, 1/2 margarita pizza, I glass of Sangiovese ($6.75) and an apple juice (the kind in the little glass apple $2.95. Now if the pizza had been stellar, I would not have a problem with this price, however it was FAR from it. The pepperonis are small and thick and cooked into a bowl shape that housed pools of grease. The entire pizza was extreme greasy (I know pizzas a greasy, but this was excessive) The basil did not seem fresh. The crust was burnt, bland and turned soggy after a short time. I was extremely disappointed. The only reason I'm giving it two stars was because the service was fantastic and our server was very sweet. Way overpriced for...
Read moreI've been going to Amici's since they opened their first location on 3rd Ave in San Mateo back in 1987 and it's made every other pizza across the US taste like frozen pizza. I begged Pete for years to franchise it so I can open one in Brentwood but he doesn't want someone messing up his masterpiece. If you want to taste what all other pizza's should aspire to be then treat yourself to a masterpiece. Make sure it's Amici's East Coast Pizza because there are some places with a similar name. There are locations in Dublin, Danville, Vacaville, San Jose, Redwood City, San Mateo, and multiple locations...
