Came here on a whim with the wife. She was craving pizza and this place offers vegan pizza which is a huge plus.
For appetizers I tried the garlic Parmesan wings which were okay. The quality and taste were good but they were baked wings while I prefer crispy fried wings. I wouldn't personally get them again but I wouldn't dissuade anyone from ordering them. Next time I think I would go with their famous meatballs or sliders. My wife had the half arugula salad which was great. The dressing was light and refreshing without it being overly sweet.
We each ordered a pizza; I got the pesto chicken deep dish and my wife got a Greek with vegan cheese on a thin crust. The crust on both pizzas were fantastic. They were light and crispy, and didn't feel oily at all. The small deep dish for me was very filling and can feed 2-3 pizza easily. The large thin crust could feed 4-5 people.
Overall the service was attentive and they even asked if I wanted to watch the warriors game on the TV because they saw me watching it on my phone. They have a good selection of beer and other drinks. And the vibe is really chill and inviting.
Definitely recommend them for any one looking for good pizza. I will...
ย ย ย Read moreI am a fan of deep dish pizza and when I moved to Danville I knew I had to try this place out.
Atmosphere: Nicely casual, reclaimed wood, industrial chic. The outdoor patio is very nice on a summer evening.
Service: No complaints here. Servers have always been courteous and helpful.
Drinks: A somewhat small beer selection on tap, a slightly larger bottle selection. A bit disappointing if you are a beer nerd but solid craft selection. A good mix of local and American.
Food: I've tried the thin crust white pie and the deep dish Blue Line (aka Little Star). As an aside, why do they call it the Little Star? Especially since there is a local chain with the same name....anyways. Both were delicious. The crust is a partial cornmeal crust and there is less emphasis on the cheese compared to Zachary's. Not necessarily a bad thing. The profusion of vegetables in the Little Star is...
ย ย ย Read moreStopped in for a late lunch with my son. Had to find someone to be seated. Drink order happened quick, then we never saw our server again. 20 mins later we found her inside - seems she forgot about us. I told her we were leaving and would pay for the ice tea and lemonade as a good customer gesture and she promptly rang it up (sadly we didnโt even drink them). No Mgmt in sight and only 2 workers - prob why service was non-existent. Surprised the drinks were not compโd, but understandable as they maybe are hurting financially like a lot of restaurants. Guess we will never find out if the pizza is any good....
