MJ Sushi — Restaurant in Danville

I need to start by saying that ever since MJ came to Danville, this is the only place we order sushi. My daughter + her friends go all the time. Her friends have even had events catered. That being said, her experience on Thursday night was appalling. she placed an online order like always. She arrived to pick it up + was given the wrong item ordered. It was something she has never ordered + does not like. She proceeded to explain that the item was wrong + asked how they would remedy it. The lady then told her multiple times + quite loudly that this was a 'you problem' + that she couldn't help her. She said the lady was scolding her like she was a child + people in the restaurant were staring. Then another lady came into the restaurant + also complained about getting the wrong items in her order. My daughter was both shocked + embarrassed at the treatment. The lady working at the register was rude + her customer service was nonexistent. It was an awful way to treat...

Next to Blackhawk Plaza and in the Tassajara Crossing Shopping mall, this restaurant location is a 5 Star establishment!

M J Sushi is my close-to M.idnight J.apanese go-to Sushi place to dine-in or takeout.

Guess which hand roll, it starts with a “U”. Ordered one of their most reviewed rolls And added the Gyoza since ‘Tengo hambre’, correction, I am very hungry !

Excellent presentation, fabulous combination of flavors, basically hit the spot !

Was great the first few times we visited, but my impression is that the quality is dropping. Two pieces had bones in the last order of sashimi, and my daughter said one of the roles tasted a bit off. Hopefully, it's just an off night Update - I have made a few orders with Doordash and noticed the quality is highly variable. Tonight (Tuesday), the calamari was disgusting, and the chicken was mostly fried batter bits. The roll I ordered taste OK but looked like a mess. Unfortunately, this may be another one of the Blackhawk restaurants that started with a bang and will die out within 5...
