Old-time downtown Danville restaurant favorite for many reasons. Pete's is a great place for the whole family. Very friendly and attentive waitstaff. Asked immediately as we walked in if we needed high chairs for our wee ones. Massive 1/2 lb burgers are deliciously juicy and messy to eat. Portions are BIG! Prices are very responsible for what you get. Kid friendly, besides clean high chairs, Pete's offers kids a coloring sheet of Pete. Diaper changing table in the women's restroom. Only place I can think of where you can be in a beer club, watch sports on one of 4 flat screen TVs, order a cocktail or wine, eat Mexican Food inside or outside, and have your kids all in one place.

The food is always good here, but the service is a little slow. Last time we were there, our waitress forgot about us and we were left at our table waiting for the check. The drawings on the wall are entertaining and the jukebox is fun. However, I would suggest bringing earplugs if you're hypersensitive.

Had the Danville burger and it was solid. Tons of seating Inside and out. Good beers on tap and a full bar. Our waitress was a sweetheart. Probably my new go to when in Danville.

Pete's is an interesting combination. It is on the one hand a beer club (where members who have reached milestones have their names painted on the wall), on another it is a reasonable kid-friendly sports bar with an outside patio and on the third hand it is an inside joke with attitude, because (as the sign says) "There is no Brass Rail, there is no Car Wash and who the h*ll is Pete?".

The food is actually pretty varied - yes, you can get deep fried everything if you want. But they always have a Mexican special, and they offer comprehensive list of quick-switches for fries including steamed vegetables. This variety is hidden within a menu that has been squashed to fit a 8x11 laminated page. Dig deep.

I would say the service varies quite a bit. It can be wonderful one day, and terrible the next. The bad days seem to be when "old friends" come in and the staff wants to chat. But clearly the people on the wall have come in a very large number of times, so on balance it's fine. And the wait can be 45 minutes at peak so come earlier or later.

Tip - kids should always ask for the Pete's posters to color in. The walls (where blank of names) are bedecked in that poster redrawn to suit movies "Lord of the Pete's" for example. Bet yours can't beat those efforts, but they will...

How have I never left a review of this place?! I've been coming here a long time but it's been quite a while since I last stopped in. Came in with my boyfriend before our couple's massage this evening and decided to get some light fare and drinks. Our server introduced herself as Jessie, (receipt said Jessica), and she was super helpful after I told her we just wanted something light before the massage.

We ended up with a shot and a PBR beer each plus a delicious large Caesar salad and an oversized quesadilla filled with tender flank steak. I had asked for shrimp at the same moment my boyfriend had asked for the steak quesadilla, and jessie recommended the steak over shrimp, which was a great decision.

Going back for another massage next Wednesday and already look forward to having a "regular" server so we can ask to be seated in her section.

Consistently good food here with really reasonable prices. And according to tons of my neighbors on Nextdoor, some of the best wings in the area, which I can't wait to try...

The place was really busy on a Friday night. There is street parking as well as parking in the center. We got seated pretty fast, but it took them a 10 mins for the waitress to take our order. They have a daily special menu. Since it was Friday, I choose their prime rib special. It came with potatoes and steamed veggies. I asked to substitute the grilled veggies for a salad. When my order came, they gave me a salad as well as the steamed veggies which I originally didn't want and deleted the potatoes which I wanted. The prime rib and salad was fine. Although, the steamed veggies were overdone. My husband had the pork sandwich with salad. He said it was fine. I would give this place 3.5 stars for slow service and...
