It must have been because it was a Friday night, or perhaps it was because I had two kids with me. But the only reason I went was because I read the website that said it was family family. It was anything but friendly the moment I entered. It's really just a bar centered club. It seemed like no one wanted us there. I stood to the side with my stroller and kids and waited. I was asked to move from the far end of the bar in a rude manner, and I couldn't get either bar tenders' attention. Thankfully, a fellow mom and server named Taylor eventually came when she noticed no one was speaking to me. She was great with her service. However, I went to the bathroom and noticed I had forgotten my phone when I got back to the hightop by the billiard tables. I immediately turned around to look for it, but when I got back to the bathroom, it was gone. I asked the doorman if anyone had turned it in, and he said not to him or the front desk, but the bar likely had it. I went to the bar to ask, and again, neither bar tender would make eye contact and wouldn't answer me when I asked if anyone had turned in a phone. I was quite sure someone had taken it, but since no one was helping me, I asked my husband to handle it. He ended up having to walk into the kitchen and told them to give the phone back which miraculously was brought out from the way back office, after we'd already spoken to a manager and was told they didnt have any phones. Taylor, however, was given a whole other phone that they had collected. I'll give them that it was a busy night, but basically, the whole staff was rude, which prompted me to be in return. I wouldn't go there just to hang out. I was out of state visiting, and 10/10 would not recommend this to anyone with kids. I really do try to make us as unproblematic as physically possible. I'm very patient with staff, especially when I see it's busy as I've worked in restaurants. My kids didn't even cry the whole time. I'm not sure what happened or why, but I felt robbed...
Read moreFour friends and I went to RDGS on 12/22/23 for Christmas lunch at 12 noon. We got our drinks and ordered appetizers (mozzarella sticks...a little greasy and not hot, but tasty), which took much longer than reasonable to arrive. I asked for extra sauce, but the server didn't bring that until we were done eating the appetizers. We told him we would wait to order our food after we enjoyed our appetizers, which were long gone before he ever came back to take our food order. We then waited ONE HOUR for our food (wraps and fries), and then only the other 4 got theirs. It was uncomfortable for everyone since nobody wanted to eat until I got my food, but I insisted they go ahead. It's a good thing I did...I didn't get mine until the rest were halfway through eating. The manager's explanations were that the place was packed (it wasn't), they were short-staffed, and they were waiting for more chicken to cook and didn't want the others' food to get cold sitting under the lights so they went ahead and served what they had ready. Our friend who planned this get-together was embarrassed that she had chosen RDGS and felt badly because she had heard it was a good place to come. We assured her that it was not her fault, but when you expect to have a fun time with a group of friends you don't see very often, bad service does put damper on things for sure. We did each got a 20% discount off our meal, and they did remove the $.50 charge for the extra sauce. In the hour that we waited for our food, we never saw our server again, and not one person came to check on us to refill our drinks or offer an explanation of why it was taking so long. After we tracked someone down to find out what was taking so long, the manager finally responded and came to our table with the 20% off coupon. Customer service is the name of the game, and in this case, you totally failed. I would much rather have had good service and...
Read moreWe came here for a work party of about 20-30. First thing i noticed was every table had a reserved sign on it so apparently the venue was in high demand for a Saturday evening. We sat down at 5 pm and ordered our drinks. Drinks took atleast 15 minutes before the first arrived out of our group, and at this point there was essentially nobody else here yet. It took her multiple trips to bring all the drinks because apparently nobody that works there wants to help with larger parties. About 30 minutes after we received our drinks our server took our order. At this point other people were starting to show up but there was still MANY open seats. About an HOUR later food started to come out. They would bring 3-5 orders out at a time, and each trip was probably about 10 minutes apart. So all in all by the time we sat down and when we got our food was 1 1/2 hours. There was probably about 7 floor staff that stood around doing nothing this whole time. When the food did come out it WAS ALL COLD. Which is a shame because my chicken bacon ranch wrap was actually good and the price wasnt bad but it wouldve been better hot. My wife got cheese fries and some of the cheese was still unmelted and cold. Hers was undercooked and both of ours probably sat for 30 minutes before we received it. It is wild we waited so long for cold food, fries like they were microwaved, and the place WASNT EVEN BUSY YET!!! By the time we sat down to when we paid and left was nearly 3 HOURS!!! They were not packed and the food / service left MUCH to be desired. We also waited forever for our tickets! Only part of the evening that didnt take forever was collecting the money! Lmao. Wendys deserves my money more than this place. Do better or you wont...
