Chipotle in Massachusetts really lacks customer service training. This is the second Chipotle I've visited hoping to grab dinner, but I ended up not eating there because the staff members were incredibly rude. Even the female manager, who was wearing a black collar shirt, was part of this unpleasant experience. When I arrived at the Chipotle, I noticed that everyone, including the female manager, was gathered and engaged in conversation. I made eye contact with her, but she gave me a disdainful look as if she had never seen a BIPOC before. She didn't even bother to offer me any assistance. However, there was a lovely young lady who had her back turned away from me while I was waiting to ask for a to-go bowl. When she turned around and saw me, she immediately apologized, and her positive attitude made me forget about the initial encounter. I proceeded to order my food, which was a bowl to go with white rice, black beans, steak, and cheese. I also requested pico, sour cream, lettuce, and hot sauce on the side. Unfortunately, the same female manager approached the cashier and instructed them to charge me for the sides. I overheard this and questioned, "Wait, you charge for sides even though they're not inside my bowl?" Note: I am in MA for work. The female manager confirmed, "Yes, we do charge for sides, and you're only allowed two sides for free." Keep in mind that my meal initially cost $12 and some change, but after being charged extra for the sides, my total came to be $16. I decided to ask if they could simply put the sides on the side of my bowl so that I could scoop them out at home. The female manager repeated my request and sarcastically asked, "So, you want me to open the bowls and put the sides in there on the side?" I replied, "Yes, please, because paying almost $16 for sides is excessive, and I don't feel comfortable with that." The female manager proceeded to pour the sides inside my bowl in a messy manner, getting them all over the place. I looked at the mess, thanked them, and said, "I appreciate your effort, but I've changed my mind." I walked away politely. I reached out to my friends who are managers at Chipotle in two different states, feeling frustrated. They assured me that the way things were being done was not up to par. I can vouch for this as well, having worked at Chipotle myself and maintaining a positive relationship with my former coworkers. It's concerning to see the quality of employees that Chipotle is hiring, as it reflects poorly on the company. After reading the reviews, I wish I had known beforehand and avoided this particular location. Chipotle, please strive for improvement. Consider visiting the ATL or other states to gather feedback and take necessary actions. The accumulation of negative reviews on similar issues, coupled with your request for people to reach out to you, without any visible improvements, is completely...
Read moreHORRIBLE FOOD QUALITY this place has been falling apart for some time now I figured I give them another try but honestly it’s a shame my chicken tonight was extremely salty totally unhealthy and unacceptable always seem to be running low on food I ask for the Barbacoa tonight and was told that there wasn’t any this was around 5:30PM go figure supper time and there’s no food again unacceptable my food didn’t taste fresh it was actually cold the trays are not keeping the food warm I tried to call so that I can speak to a manager no one ever picked up talking about raising your blood pressure with this amount of sodium in the food must be all the preservatives that is added to the meats the location has become unsafe at night time while here tonight absolutely no lights in the parking lot again unacceptable the upkeep of the property is poor I am not sure if corporate is aware of what’s happening here at this location but for sure will be given them a call since I can’t get a manager on the line it doesn’t seem like the owner/owners take pride in this establishment and whoever is managing this place can care less. If you are going to hire cooks hire individuals that have some sort of experience in cooking or spend adequate time to train them the morale is low when it comes to customer service you don’t feel welcomed no smiles no thank you for coming in no come again not sure what’s happening to customer service nowadays but it’s horrible and getting worse so my plea to you is if you can’t run this store adequately you might want to let it go! Or shape up and stop this runaway train from destroying itself. Running a business isn’t a joke you need to be on top of everything including your workers everyone deserves a chance but if the work isn’t being done efficiently you need to find others who will after all the an establishment that is falling apart or not managed properly is a bad representation of you the owner/owners. Be different set the bar high soap and water for cleanliness isn’t expensive some music inside little decorations here and there making the place fun and inviting makes it a fun place to come to not only that your workers benefit from it but so do your customers. Keeping your parking lot clean lit up at night some landscaping flowers/plants here and there also make the place inviting don’t be the typical owner that focuses on money and quantity over quality you can have both by doing things right.oh by the way stop sending these replies to reviews by saying thank you for leaving a review we will look into this! Because apparently from the looks of it you are not doing anything about it customers take the time to write these reviews and they should be taken seriously! Do better and stop pacifying the seriousness of...
Read moreDartmouth, MA location has become a joke. Service has been declining for a while and by no means is this a review of just my experience today. Even when there seems to be enough staff, the people working the walk-in food line can never seem to get it together. Today I drive there and there is a hand written note in the window saying “online orders only until more staf shows up” (yup staff with one f). There were about 12 different customers waiting around for their online orders for what seemed to be 3 employees. Simple formula. If service declines, customers stop coming, then you can’t afford to pay your employees well and you hire whoever is willing to take the job. The cycle will repeat until no employees or customers are left. I give this location a few more months to survive unless something drastic changes with ownership!
Update 12/6/23 Dartmouth,MA location still a joke and has been since covid in 2020. I used to go there and order for my family once a week. Now it’s once every few months and I’m always disappointed. Since my original review above I have had more bad experiences over another year or so. My family loves the food which is the only reason we ever even go back with fingers crossed. Once they ran out of chips and didn’t tell me. I only found out when picking up and double checking my online order. When I asked the cashier he said we are out of chips and pointed to an 1-800 number he told me to call. No heads up!!! Another time we walked in and ordered my son a chicken quesadilla (it’s the only thing he eats from there) and was told it was currently an “online only” item and if I wanted it I’d have to order it online even though I was standing in the restaurant. No effort by the server or shift manager to just charge me for a similar item and just make the quesadilla and let me know to order it online next time. And today 12/6 took the cake. Walked in after avoiding this location for months and started to place my order for 3 people and was told they were out of cheese. Told the server we were all set and we were told to have a nice day by the girl washing the table behind us without looking up after we were clearly walking out aggravated without ordering. The staff is consistently bad but I can’t blame them if they are not paid fairly and treated well. It’s usually new faces every time I go in. This location has been so bad for so long this is a management/ownership issue. If it wasn’t for nearby college students keeping them afloat, this location wouldn’t and shouldn’t...
