Worst experience at the portrait studios! I’ve taken pictures there before and have never had an issue until today. I will NEVER be going back there. If you are taking picture with the photographer Susan, I suggest going somewhere else. She called me the day before to move my appt up from 3:15 to 2:45. I have a 4 year old and 6 month old. We show up on time and the place is filled with people waiting. We didn’t get our photos taken until well beyond 4pm. My baby at that point was so fussy. I don’t know why she asked to have my appt moved up knowing full well she over booked. Sounds like they get a commission for how many sessions they book so they over book on purpose. So many crying kids waiting and waiting. After waiting all that time, it’s finally our turn. She changes our background and doesn’t even give me a chance to tell her I don’t want it. I told her I didn’t like the dark background but she did it anyways. She was soooo rude! The way she was speaking to my 4 year old about posing was so aggressive that a lot of the pictures she’s not smiling because Susan made her so nervous. She was rude to me and was rushing us so bad. A lot of the pictures I am not happy with and they could have easily been fixed had she just told my daughter to smile or something. She was in too much of a rush. Family picture with my daughter sticking her tongue out! Like come on! My 4 year old follows directions well so all she had to do was just say smile and she would have. But nope she needed to rush. I asked for a picture with just my daughters and I. She ruined that one as well which is sad because I never get to get be in pictures with my kids and the one opportunity I have (that I am paying for) is ruined by bad posing. She forced us to use a blanket that I had on hand for one of the backgrounds because “you have to use a prop from home for this background.” I said I wasn’t told that and why? It’s a plain background why do I need to use something? So I was forced to use a blanket that we had that didn’t even match the girl’s dresses. She never answered me as to why. The way she spoke to us was rude. Rushed us after we waited so long to take pictures. Insane. And God forbid if you ask for a certain pose, she gets even ruder. In one picture, my daughter looks like she is going to cry because Susan gave her a hard time about holding her sister, preventing her from tipping over. The prices are ridiculous. I asked to get just the digitals and I was told no you have to get a bundle. I told the girl that I have gotten digitals before so I don’t understand. The girl said no just a bundle for digitals. So I was forced to buy a bundle that I didn’t budget for. Now looking at other reviews here I see I was swindled. You can in fact buy just the digitals. I heard so many people cashing out complaining about this same thing. Everyone was angry about the wait and the cost. It was giving car salesmen the way they were writing prices on paper so that you think you are getting a good deal when in fact you’re getting screwed. The girls working the desk were also get aggravated with Susan as she was very aggressive with them also. I will never ever go here again. This...
Read moreWriting this review mainly for the portrait section of JCPenney. My siblings and I just wanted to get a couple of funny photos for Christmas as one of our gifts to our parents. The whole experience started with a phone call at 9pm the night before basically saying to be ready because they were only going to give us 10 minutes to get the photos done. When we got there about 20 minutes early it was maybe 15 minutes before someone even checked us in. About an hour rolls by and then it was finally our turn for photos. From the start, the photographer Susan was telling us we couldn't do most of our photos due to the size of our group (5). When we realized we couldn't do most of the photos with 5 people we then asked if we could just do a couple with like 3 people and then some with 2, where she then also immediately turned us down and said that is it doesn't follow the format. About 30 minutes later, we were done. Now, most of our issues came about when we were trying to purchase our photos. As we wait about 25 more minutes to even see any of the photos, we were then hit with the sales pitch. The two young girls out front started going down all the "Black Friday Bundle Deals" and how all the prices had come down. When booking this, we had selected the $120 digital photobook because we just wanted our photos virtually. The girl then walked us in a full circle loop stating that it is not possible to just get the digital photos and that in order to get them we needed to buy one of the bundles. When we showed them the website and what we were looking at they told us that they had a different website where there was different information. The photographer susan then came out and told us we could only get the digital copies if we were a "Business Entity" and we can only get the photos if we buy one of the expensive bundles. We showed the workers multiple times that none of this information was stated on the website and they said they will talk to susan. While the girls went into talk to Susan, we hear her tell them "I'm not busting my ass in here for people to buy the less expensive products". After about an hour of trying to tell these workers that all we wanted was the digital copies, we then said that we will just pay the session fee and not take our photos. Magically, after talking with the photographer again, they came back out and offered the original offer we had selected, telling us it was "there the whole time". What was supposed to be a total hour trip for nice Christmas cards turned into a 3.5 hour ordeal and us saying we are never going to...
Read moreWent to Sephora and what an absolute disappointment! Not only are there no testers, there are no products! Everything was out of the colors were different than what they had on the displays. It was dirty, and hard to find a tissue if you did find the rare tester and had lipstick on the backs of your hands. There were no sales, the little clearance section was messy with open products and even spilled products onto the other items. I was looking for blush and lipstick, and eyeliner. I had in mind what I wanted, but just didn't know what brand was better. Thankfully I sort of just figured it out, because the 3 girls that were working all stood at the cash register talking to each other. I was there for a good 45 min, trying to decide what blush to get... I was also VERY limited bc most of the brands I normally go with were all sold out making it even tougher and not a single offer to help. My friend was looking for lipstick, she knew what color she was looking for, but didn't know what brand would carry the color she wanted. The ONLY time a sales person spoke to us was to ask if she "put the lipstick she was trying directly onto" her lips because "that would be... Eww" and my friend said Absolutely not, I broke the top of the lipstick off and used my finger to get some of the lipstick off where I broke it & put it on that way. Seeing as they won't offer testing qtips, what else can you do? It's a bit ridiculous. I don't know if their lack of caring about how the store looks, or about helping their customers is because they are moving to Khols soon, but if it's a glance at what's to come, I'll be driving the extra 15 min to Ulta the next town over. It was the worst experience in a Sephora yet and none of experiences were ever fantastic to begin with. But at least people offer to help those other times. Not ignored you while no one else besides your friend was in the store for about 30min & they stood at the register talking. I definitely won't be returning. I ended up actually going online to Glambot and put in a $150 order during their $7 sale. At least if I didn't love the color, I'm only out $7 (and yes, it's all full size). I ended up with 4 really nice blushes, 2 Nars 1 Make Up Geek & one Artist something... Which is what I bought at Sephora, but for twenty something dollars & the color is OK...not great. But there were no testers. Anyway, save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere or online. You'll at least get better...
