Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Davenport

When arriving at the restaurant there were a total of 10 tables, I'm assuming they were short staffed as we needed to wait about 5 minutes to be seated. After ordering the food it was roughly 35 minutes until it was delivered to the table, a bit long of a wait but understandable if short staffed. I ordered a bbq whiskey burger medium well (as the waiter told me medium well and well done were the only options - no medium), the new waffle fries, and added $1 for 5 wings. The burger was incredibly dry and veryyy well done. And the bbq whiskey sauce was barely on the burger at all, almost as if they put it on and then scraped it off. There is a $0.50 upcharge for waffle fries and usually applebees is generous with their fry portions, there were a grand total of 7 waffle fries on my plate. For being upcharged. The wings were fine, no issues there. The waitress never revisited the table after food had been dropped off until they dropped off the check, when my water needed to be refilled about 5 minutes prior to that - and was never asked or taken to get refilled. I left the store still hungry and still thirsty, getting more food and drink from Walmart afterwards. I've never had any egregious issues in the past with Applebees but my experience this time puts me off from ever revisiting...

I went here on Feb 28, 2025 at 11:30 with my adult daughter. The waitress had an attitude against me from the beginning. I had ordered first and didnt realize she asked my daughter first. We had a family sitting behind us whose children were sick and coughing along with shaking my booth sitting so much i felt like i was on a train. We asked to be moved and she went to the greeter rolling her eyes and shaking her head. He moved us and i thanked him telling him why he was very understanding. When she brought my hamburger and fries the fries looked old and soaked in grease. I thought maybe this is how they are now. I went to the restroom becuz my stomach got sick and I saw an employee eating at the cash register and his fries looked amazing so i knew she gave me bad ones on purpose. Its too bad because this was our favorite place but we never had her as a waitress. Don't go to this one. My daughter couldnt figure out why she got mad at me in the first place to act like that. UPDATE.....I followed the link they sent me and i started getting emails from 3 different people asking me the same questions that i had written here. I responded and was finally told they would reimburse me but they never did!! Will go to Red Robin...

I haven’t been to Applebees in awhile. My friend had an appointment that way so we went to the West Kimberly location. The restaurant was so clean that you could feel it when you walked through the door. My server (the ticket said Joseph but I heard someone call him Jimmy) was at the table immediately. He checked on us in nice increments. The appetizer was out fast and I’d say it was the best version of any app I’ve had at any location. He was kind, even while he and the manager (she’s a star) were dealing with a less than pleasant lady behind us. They have the patience of saints. The chicken on the salad at this location had a much better char than I’m used to and it was fantastic. It’s nice to know that when we do spend money in these times that they care about quality and their clients. The manager is so good, that if I hadn’t retired early, I would have paid a lot of money to recruit her from you. This location is a reminder of why Applebees is still...
