Buffalo Wild Wings — Restaurant in Davenport

I've visited this Buffalo Wild Wings twice on my visit back to the Quad Cities, once on a Friday late night and again mid-day on a Sunday. The late night crew was really good, attentive, and polite. The food was hot, wings had perfect amount of sauce on them, and the environment was good. I had no complaints about this visit. The daytime visit however was questionable at best. Once seated, it took about 5 minutes for any waitress to acknowledge that we had not been waited on. Then there was confusion between two of the waitresses as to which one would be tending to us, we were informed that they had only two servers at the time so I accepted this and ordered my drink. Our server came back to the table about 10 minutes later and took our order, she seemed preoccupied and like her mind was not on work (I've been there before so I could understand) this caused her to completely miss the other guest in my party's order, and they were required to repeat it. Then the wait happened, we waited 15 minutes before our drinks were brought to us. We spent an additional 30 minutes waiting on our snack size order of wings, small traditional wings, and Buffalo Mac & Cheese. We were about to chalk up the loss, pay for the drinks, and leave without eating when the meal came out. The wings lacked the "wet" sauce look, like they had been sitting for a little while before they were served, this was confirmed when I bit into the wings and they were a bit above room temperature. I chose not to complain. The Mac and Cheese also looked like it had been sitting as well. In all this time, about 4 servers had come on shift, yet our server was nowhere to be found. We had to have her located and asked for the check. She handed our check to us and had appeared to have been crying. We asked her if something was wrong, she declined to answer, as we paid, she did make some sort of comment about her situation, had me sign, and walked away before I could even give her the signed copy. I understand we all have bad days, but if this is the case someone needs to have covered for this server. I will chalk this up to a fluke and a bad day. But I don't know what else there is...

I’m giving two stars because our food was good.

On another note we waited for over 2 hours for our food. We got to the restaurant and got sat right away. Perfect right? Nooope 10 minutes after sitting and no server has said a word to us, we finally have someone take a drink order and get an appetizer. He says he will be right back. 10 minutes go by and we get our drinks. Asked for straws doesn’t come back for 10 minutes, brings 2 straws for 6 drinks. We have been ready to order since we sat, but he’s busy. Understandable. Finally get our order taken.

1 hour later he comes and asks us what we are waiting for. Haven’t got our appetizer or food yet. Asks what we ordered.

2 hours after being sat. We have no food. He’s checked on us twice. I got up and asked for a manager. Was told she’d be right over.

2:15 minutes. We are brought some of our food. Incorrect amount of food but food. 2:20 manager brings out some more. Still missing our appetizer and part of our order isn’t correct. Says she will be back. Got up and asked for silverware and seasoning that was missed. No silverware. Had to ask two different people. Finally brought silverware asked again for seasoning. Nope.

We also haven’t seen our server since hour 1 1/2

Got up and asked for boxes. Twice. Got boxes. No check. Haven’t been asked anything by our server. Manager never came back.

My kids and I left as it’s now after my kids bedtime. My husband went to the front and asked for a manager. No manager but our server finally came over to him and brought him a check. Of course. With drinks we ordered yes, but never received on said check.

We were told that take out was very busy and they had our ticket the entire time. We watched tables come in after us. Receive their food. Ate and left. All before we got our food. Got a mediocre apology and then continued to receive...

Not sure. I will start by making it clear, it wasn’t necessarily busy but a 20 top table got sat right before us in our section, so a little wait was expected. Drinks did take a hot minute or 10 to get ordered but we were enjoying ourselves so it was fine. The guy finally had made it to us and got us our drinks right away. The real fun started 20 minutes if day later, the waiter comes back, and asks to sit down with us to take our order? I mean sure why not, just was… different. Waiter was pretty nice but did seem stressed and tired. Waiter took our order, and went and potentially stabbed the order?? We did realize the large table got their orders ahead of us, but after 30 minutes, they all got their food and we were like ah cool now our turn 😄😄. nope 😟. It took I’d say another 30 minutes for MOST of our food… except mine. I ordered boneless wings, everyone else had ordered sandwiches. I did find out wings DO take longer, but it’s was a good 15-20 minutes later. Finally I did get my food and ate lonely as everyone else talked over empty plates which was whatever, but oh no the fun doesn’t stop here. The ambience was just stellar with nearly every table being dirty not just with crumbs, but full on plates, cups napkins and stayed dirty from the time we sat down, and were still all dirty when we left after 2 hours.
