I recently visited Izumi Japanese Steakhouse, and I can confidently say it might be the best hibachi experience in the Quad Cities. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed with how clean and well-maintained the restaurant was. The atmosphere was inviting & had a relaxing vibe, perfect when you’re in the mood for a bocce dinner in a classy setting.
they have a massive menu. Tons of options. The food was absolutely delicious! We ordered the hibachi steak chicken and shrimp, & everything was cooked to perfection right in front of us. The chef was engaging and funny. The flavors were amazing, and the portions were generous. The quality of the ingredients really stood out, and every bite was fantastic.
Our server, Mary, was exceptional. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. They were busy the night we went in, but the service was still fast, and the timing between courses was spot-on. Mary really did a great job serving us. She had professionalism and warm personality.
Overall, Izumi is a must-visit if you're looking for great hibachi in the Quad Cities. Whether you're there for a special occasion or just a casual dinner, the combination of great food, fast service, and a clean, inviting environment will leave you wanting to come back....
Read moreThis is one of the most amazing dining experiences we have had from the cleanliness of the restaurant, to the delicious food, to the amazing staff.
We sat on the hibachi side, and one of us had hibachi chicken and the other filet mignon. We also had the Philadelphia roll and the Super Asparagus roll. The sushi was beautifully plated, fresh, and delicious! The prices are very affordable for the high quality they offer. You can even get the lunch prices over the weekend.
Our Hibachi chef was JB. JB has such a passion for what he does, and it shows through in the way he interacts with the guests and the amazing flavor of the food! This is hands down the best hibachi we have ever had. He explained the different flavors he uses, and the hibachi chicken was the best I’ve ever had with light but flavorful sauce he created. He is so talented and could juggle the eggs while hitting his spatula on the grill!
Our waitress was Chanda, and she was attentive, kind, and speedy with everything we could need. She had a genuine smile and was knowledgeable about the menu. She anticipated what we needed before we even knew to ask! The most kind person!
If you are in the remote vicinity to Izumi Japanese Steak House, it is somewhere you must go and experience! We live an hour away and already can’t wait to...
Read moreOverall 3. But it will be some time before I come back. We ordered a variety of sushi rolls, nigiri, edamame and miso soup. Initially I was impressed, the lollipop roll & nigiri came out and was very good. Then came the rest of our rolls that all contained seaweed in some fashion. The seaweed was bad. It was slimy and the texture you can’t chew. (Definitely not what you want when eating sushi) We notified our waitress, which I did have the ask the host to go find her after awhile. She wasn’t sure what to do and said she would be back and then proceeded to yell across the room there was a complaint. Another lady came to talk to us and said they had a busy night and no one complained about the seaweed. She then proceeded to the back of the restaurant, grabbed some seaweed and then ate it in-front of us… to sum it up, the customer service is lacking, overall I did like the food but we just some bad seaweed...
