Sancho's of Davenport — Restaurant in Davenport

"We don't have authentic Mexican food" words directly from who took our order. Obviously not, and not worth the money. Food was gross and not what we asked for. They didn't have what we originally asked for so we had to reorder. Still was not what expected to get from what we ordered. Ordered 3 tacos.. I could have made better at home, they asked what I wanted on it, just got beef, lettuce, cheese, diced tomato. They asked if I wanted real tomatoes or just tomato sauce?? Obviously real tomatoes. The consistency of the meat was like refried beans that had been sitting for too long and had no flavor but leaked out some kind of juice and was cold. We asked for a side of chips and salsa and paid for queso dip. We got no salsa but a hot sauce and the queso dip was obviously store-bought Rotel and Velveeta cheese that I could have also easily made at home. Most 'mexican' restaurants give you a side of rice and beans with all meals. We didn't get that, but each restaurant is differentaybe take out 'mexican restaurant' from your description. This meal was just not worth the money for the very little amount we got. However their curbside delivery was very easy to manage and we did not wait long for our food 20 minutes and when we got there only waited about 5 extra minutes for the waitress to come out and...

I really like the food here but the last time I was there I order my food while talking on my cell phone. I paid the waiter by putting my money on his hand. He went and got change and came back to me. I held out my hand for him to put my change in it but instead he laid the change out on the counter next to my extended hand then walked away. It upset me because I felt disrespected. When he came back by I asked him why he laid the money on the counter next to my open ha d waiting for change and he told me it was because I was on the phone and he didn't want to disturb me. I explained to him that I was on the phone when I made the order, paid him, and put my hand out for my change. He tried to explain that he didn't see my hand. I thought that was b/s because he laid the money out next to my hand. He needs to learn better...

Was not acknowledged when we walked in the door, restaurant was completely empty. The menu is poor and confusing. The queso and salsa tasted like they came out of a jar from Walmart. The margarita my wife got (for $8.50) tasted bad and like there was no tequila in it. I ordered their signature burrito “the sancho” and it was by far the worst burrito I’ve ever had. I would’ve been significantly happier at Taco Bell. It had greasy cheddar cheese melted on top and had nothing in it but meat. Do not waste your money. Bad food, atmosphere and service.
