Americas Bakery & Restaurant — Restaurant in Davie

After my appointment at Quest in the Atrium Plaza, I was famished and walked into Americas Bakery & Restaurant for a bite to eat. Upon my arrival I asked where I could sit and seated myself. Ordering from the menu I noticed it was a Columbian, Latin menu. I ordered black coffee, a bowl of soup and some tacos which were two for seven dollars. The coffee was bold and fresh.

The establishment was not busy at all. After waiting a while for my food to arrive, I noticed the owner of the restaurant or management was served first (Gordon Ramsey would not approve). I had waited a while for my food and was almost ready to pay for my coffee and find another eating establishment.

A few seconds later my food arrived. The soup broth was very flavorful, and the taco shell was nicely browned and tasted fresh. The beef and chicken taco could have used some seasoning, and the green sauce was tasty but looked a little watered down.

I purchased some additional bakery items, rice pudding, and an oatmeal drink. My favorite food on this trip was the Sopa Campesina, Pandebono, and Cocadas. The rice pudding had a nice texture, and the oatmeal drink was refreshing and sweet.

This is a nice family establishment that specializes in bakery goods and Columbian food! The staff was friendly and so was the service. It would be nice to see a little more foot traffic since there are two exits into the restaurant from the Atrium Plaza! I hope to try the Tamale on...

Every visit is a great experience, thanks to the excellent service and delicious food. The staff here is exceptional, always attentive and welcoming, making us feel right at home every time.

The food is delicious, with a great variety to choose from. Whether it's breakfast, or lunch, every dish is amazing. We've tried several items from the menu, and each one has been a hit.

A special mention goes to their hot chocolate!!! :) It tastes just like my grandma’s and has become one of my absolute favorites.
