TERRIBLE SERVICE - They YELL at their customers

I have a severe food allergy, and fortunately I didn't eat all of the food they served me or I would be in the hospital writing this. I got horribly sick after eating something that wasn't listed on the menu. After being reassured that my takeout order could be refunded on the phone, I returned with all the food I didn't eat expecting a refund. Instead, I was greeted by the store owner who began to yell at me and berate me for "eating half of the food." I documented (via pictures) exactly how much food I have left. Check Trip Advisor for photos. She was very defensive when I approached her calmly, and she even had her chef come out to yell at me for 5 minutes because I have a food allergy. I have never had this treatment anywhere at any other Thai places in South Florida. One of the reasons I love Thai is because they are so accommodating to special diets. This was a first and a last for me. Please do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Also, my hubby's chicken pad thai was mediocre, and they use HALF AND HALF instead of coconut milk like an authentic Thai restaurant. The owner is Chinese and will rip you off if you have a food allergy like I did. AVOID BANGKOK CAFE LIKE...

Let me start by saying I love Thai food, so being uninitiated, inexperienced trying something new, does NOT apply to me. The service was very good. The server was kind, courteous and was very helpful in helping us navigate safe items for my wife who has celiac. The food however was VERY disappointing. I had Massaman chicken. It was the most watered down sauce of any curry that I've ever had! Massaman is supposed to be rich and flavorful but I think if you took a pint of typical Massaman and added a gallon of water, it would have more flavor than this! I would personally be ashamed to serve this at my home. I cook and this doesn't come close to my first attempt at curry. How do you mess this up so badly? My wife had Thai delight, it was not a delight, more like Thai embarrassment. It to was absurdly watery, no substance nor flavor to the sauce. What gives? Who is the target audience to this? I can say at least it was cheap, but unless there is a total revamp of the food, like maybe go to another Thai restaurant and see what it is supposed to look and taste like, say Ricky Thai in North Miami, then maybe, maybe I might give it a second...

My wife and I go every week and this restaurant NEVER disappoints. I am 68 and we have gone to many restaurants in our day and I can honestly say this is the best restaurant we have ever been to. The 2 ladies that work there are Jackie and Angie and they are the sweetest and most professional people to deal with. The consistency is what sets this restaurant apart from others. The food is always fantastic, perfectly cooked, never any mistakes, fast service, and great pricing and it’s always the same EVERY time.
