Burger Land — Restaurant in Davis

I'm from South Central Texas near Brenham tx. I visit the Davis Oklahoma area every month or every other month. However this past trip I ventured to downtown Davis Oklahoma which is really like a step back in time. A quaint quiet town, in fact small town America at it's finest. I tried Burger Land for the first time. Although I didn't get a burger the very polite and kind employee said they had a special that day. A chicken fried steak along with mashed potatoes and gravy and corn topped off with a really good roll. The chicken fried steak was AWESOME!! Back home very few Cafe's offer a chicken fried steak but it's just a yuucky pre-formed part soy tasteless steak. But not at Burger Land. A real tenderized 100 percent beef cutlet with a breading that was uniquely crisp but it literally melted in your mouth... outstanding. Gravy on the mashed potatoes and the potatoes were superb tasting roll was yummy too. I'm a big guy weighing in at 275 but it filled me up. Next trip I'm going to try one of their deluxe burgers. The burgers were so bad that the meat was cold, hard as a rock and they had been cooked at least an hour to 2 hours before they were sold to us. The bottom half of the buns were so soggy that the bread was gooey like wet dough. Now let's talk about the fries. First that were cooked in oil that is so old that the fries were not even crisp, they were brownish black limp and dripping with grease. The food was so bad we couldn't eat it and when we tried to feed it to our let's they didn't want it either. I came to deliver at sooner food across the street from Burgerland. I went there and checked it out and order food. Loved it oldies but goodies the best breakfast I had in a while Since I left home three weeks ago. I wanted steak omelette but they didn’t have it on the menu instead I got veggie omelette and hash browns cooked the way I wanted perfectly!! most places they never do it the way you asked.
