As soon as the waitress came up to us, she immediately started judging us. It felt racially motivated, as I’m a white girl and my boyfriend is Hispanic. She slammed the waters down and threw the straws onto the table. We ordered fajitas for two, and she acted almost offended, then made a comment about how we would “have leftovers.” My boyfriend ordered a margarita, and while already pulling out his ID, she rudely said, “Yep, pull it out.” When he misplaced his wallet in a different pocket than usual, she sarcastically asked, “This isn’t going to happen when it’s time to pay?” and then tried to laugh it off like a joke. Not funny. Just rude.
When the fajitas finally came out, she carried the skillet with her bare hands, no cloth or mitt. They weren’t sizzling, and when she set them down, they looked like dog food smothered in onions. The queso I ordered as an appetizer didn’t even come until the food arrived, and it was literally cheese water.
The whole time, my boyfriend and I felt uncomfortable. Watching her treat other tables kindly while treating us with attitude made it painfully obvious we were being treated differently, and we can’t help but feel it was because my boyfriend is Hispanic. We wanted to just leave, but decided to bring it up to the manager. His response? “That’s how we cook them, sorry.” No care, no concern, no effort. When I said we just wanted to leave, he replied, “That’s fine, bye.”
We’re visiting from Dallas, and while we didn’t expect top-notch Tex-Mex, this place was absolutely horrible. Between the bad food, the unprofessional staff, and the discriminatory treatment, we would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Avoid it...
Read more2 separate visits. We drove an hour to eat there and they closed early. We placed a to go order instead and got home to find the smallest portions I've ever been served. 2nd visit ordered about 80 dollars worth of food, they brought us a ticket with only the total, not itemized. When I asked for the itemized ticket I was given a different tables ticket. When I finally got the correct itemized ticket I realized why they didn't want me to see it, they charged us an extra 15 dollars for flour tortillas, an extra dollar for some extra shredded lettuce to go with my 20 dollar fajitas, and an extra dollar charge because my daughter shared a drink of her soda with my son because he wanted to try a single drink the lemonade since she said it was good, needless to say we won't be going back and I don't advise anyone else to either. Also their bathroom was broken on a visit and absolutely fowl, if they can't be bothered to keep the front clean it begs the question what it looks like in the back. Plenty of other choices for good clean food, try...
Read moreI order chicken and shrimp for dinner on Thursday, March 10th, 2022. I feel obligated to start by saying that I am not a picky eater and that I have been a waiter and chef in the past so I know food and service well.
Some of the chicken was completely raw and all of the shrimp was severely undercooked and raw on the inside. The vein on my shrimp was also visible and still in some of the shrimp. There were others at my table that reported raw shrimp as well.
I showed the waiter and he offered to take it back. At the time I thought that there was only one piece of raw chicken and I was hungry so I told him that he didn't need to take it back. He should have insisted to take it from me. I learned that most of the food was raw and I didn't eat most of my dinner and the amount i ate was dangerous. He never came to check back on us or offer drink refills so I wasn't able to send my dish back.
Epic fail on the chef and wait staff tonight. Very disappointing.
I will not...
