Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Dawsonville

Worst customer service yet, and that's not saying a whole lot about Albany Georgia, and the people of it. When me and my family were ordering, there was a gentleman talking to my husband. In there brief conversation the gentleman said Albany used to be hopping but now it's dead, not a lot of jobs. I couldn't help but wonder what he was talking about. There is jobs, I see help wanted signs in a 25-30 mile raiduis all over Albany. No, the problem is the quality of people. Rude, racist, unfriendly, disrespectful people. Anyways, on with why I gave this place one star and really didn't want to give it any stars because let's face it, I got crap customer service and food. After the rude cashier took my order she tried her hardest not to touch my hand while grabbing my card and handing me receipt and card back. I thought it was odd but maybe she is just a germ phob. We went to sit down to wait on order, I forgot to get the drink cups and so she rudely reminded me 5 minutes later. As me and my family were discussing the next festivities, she yelled as loud as she could, as rudely as she could: MAMN, your food done. The gentleman (another customer) who was talking to my husband when we first came in, actually grabed the food from her behind the counter, and brought it to me half way. Then when she forgot to put a BBQ sandwich on the tray, she brought me it wrapped half way in a napkin as if not to touch my hand. I now knew from the receipt incident that she just didn't want to touch my hand. Then there was another employee, and her yelling at another employee in the back, the girl was so shook up that when I was throwing away my trash she was coming out the back shaking and sniffling like she was crying. There is so much more to add but I'm afraid I'd run out of room. To top it all of though, the food was all poop but the chicken strips. Screw this dq. The mood of my experience left me walking out feeling treated like I was dirty and that these cashiers were racist. Sorry didn't want to go there but almost every where I've been in Albany (except a handful of places) people all seem to be a bunch of racist, rude people. Like I said "people...

This place is ran by total uneducated ignorant Managers!! I had a coupon for buy 1 Stackhouse burger get 1 for .99 cents. I pull up to the drive thru window and the manager tells me my total is 14.79 and gave him a bar code and a 5 digit code for the coupon and he only took a dollar off my bill and had no idea what so ever on how to over ride a transaction and actually had to call the owner which is his sister to know how to fix the issue. It took over 20 minutes for him to figure it out and by then I didn't even want my order. This place needs to TRAIN there managers properly!!@ not just give them a title because he is family. This guy had no answer for me and sounded ignorant and never spent one day in High school. Watch what you spend there cause this place is ripping people off. I will never step foot in that place again unless it sells to an owner that knows how to conduct business properly. It's sad to see foreign people own a business that don't have people skills or know how to deal with the public. This place is sad!! And don't deserve to own if you can't give correct positive dependable service. They just care...

Train Wreck from the start. Had a coupon for buy 1 Stackhouse Burger get 1 for .99 cents, when at the drive thru window the MANAGER said 14.79 total. I gave him my Dairy Queen app with a bar code and gave him the 5 digit code. Once he entered it. My bill was a dollar cheaper. We went back and forth with the transaction and he had no clue how to alter and correct the issue thru the computer system. I have never met a Manager like this man who had no clue how to communicate or work with the public. After 10 minutes of arguing with him I went inside when he had to call the owner his "sister" to figure out how to accept my Dairy queen coupon App. After 15 minutes he figured it out and by then I didn't have an appetite. This manager only owned his position as a manager because his Sister owns the establishment. He was lost with words, pretty much Ignorant to his position at this restaurant and had no people skills!!! Pay attention to your bill cause this place don't mind taking extra $$$ and doesn't care about the public and who is the one that pays there bills and...
