Fatback's Barbecue — Restaurant in Dayton

I absolutely recommend if uve not had FATBACKS bbq...its 100% a must! Ive been proud 2 say ive not ate out in about 2yrs well Fatbacks has changed me! I broke my streak of not eating out & it was totally worth it! From the sec u walk in the door u are greeted with a great big hello and if you smile from the lady behind the counter everyone there is extremely polite the portions of food are huge well worth the money did I mention they also sell their delicious barbecue sauce and t-shirts LOL I totally want to get one there's nothing that I could totally say that about this place I've been there 3 times now since they've reopened and everytime I was extremely happy although this last time they did get my order a little bit wrong I ordered the sweet sauce and ended up getting all hot when I got home was a little bit upset only because I cannot eat hot food and the person I was going to go eat lunch with that day could not eat the hot as well I sure if I was to say something they would correct the mistake I would also like to offer the advice to anyone going there they are unable to accept tips on a credit card I felt awful the last time I went I used a credit card and could not leave a tip so that's just a little bit of a heads up for anyone going but I would most definitely recommend it best barbecue I've had in years definitely give them a 10 out of 10 solid! Stop tonight for the first time after work tonight and bought a little bit of everything to try it out. First impression walking in the door was great, The lady running the register was very nice. Had a smile on her face and welcomed us as soon as we stepped in. The guys in the kitchen were all very friendly and greeted us as well. The kitchen was open to see what was going on back there which I thought was nice, you could see the kitchen was as clean s the dining area which both were very clean. I ordered a full slab of ribs, sliced brisket,and sliced chicken, mac&cheese, potato salad, and cornbread. Everything was decentn the ribs and chicken were a little bit dry and kinda bland, but not terrible. The mac&cheese was good the potato salad wasn't bad, I'm more of a fan of mustard potato salad though. Now let's talk about the brisket I give it a 100 outta 10. That was hands down the best brisket I have ever had that didn't come of my smoker, Y'all knocked it out of the park with the brisket. Customer service was outstanding. It's probably the most friendly, nice, and pleasant service in the Dayton area. I travel a lot, and I will say they are some of the nicest people I have come across when purchasing food. The food was really good. I've lived here for quite a few years and never heard of this place until I did a search for barbecue near me because I haven't found a barbecue spot in this area worth returning to! I'm very disappointed I have been missing out on good barbecue here in Dayton! The pulled pork was so moist and velvety. It's the kind of pulled pork that nearly melts in your mouth! The Carolina vinegar sauce was spot on.... Carolina barbecue sauce is my favorite! I haven't found any good Carolina sauce since I left the south! The green beans were ok....they just needed a little more seasoning. Potato salad was good. We slso tried a brisket sandwich, which was also good!
