Jose's Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Dayton

We will NEVER go back. A half order of quesadilla, literally one little quesadilla with barely any chicken and a tiny blob of guacamole was $7.99 and my 8 year old had a kid’s cheeseburger and fries that he took one bite out of and said it wasn’t good so he didn’t eat it. It was $4.99 when I got up to pay they added FOUR DOLLARS!!! She said everything is higher now. It does not show any new prices or updated prices on the menu and I find it ridiculous that she’s trying to charge me almost $12 for one little quesadilla with barely any chicken on it. We will never go back the food was not even good. I don’t understand how a restaurant can just tell you something totally different than what the menu says when it’s time to pay. Honestly if the food was good I wouldn’t mind a price increase but it tasted terrible. That was the driest most disgusting quesadilla I’ve ever had in my entire life and my son said the cheeseburger was nasty and he asked to go...

I've been here a couple of times with my friends. We meet here halfway. The previous two times we came the food was okay and the service was pretty decent. However going today the service was horrible the food was lacking for a better word to choose. I had their fried fajita burrito and it tasted like it had been cooked in old grease. We were celebrating my friend's birthday and I asked for the staff to bring out cupcakes that I had brought for the occasion and I thought they would at least light them up and come out singing Happy Birthday. They just brought out the cupcakes with the candles still in the box and no one even told her happy birthday. Thank you to the table next to us that helped us sing Happy Birthday to my friend. We won't be coming back anytime soon. Maybe someone can recommend a better place in Dayton to meet up...

7.10.24 I'm from Houston displaced from the storm Beryl. I walk in and ask the lady at the register, is there anything she could suggest? She couldn't. I looked at the menu for maybe a minute. I was about to order and she walked off. Waited patiently and there was another couple behind me wanting to pay. Nobody came. Went to the back & said something. 5 min. later went to the back again & nobody ever came. Left. Called to speak w/the Manger & THAT WAS THE MANAGER THAT WAITED ON ME. Needless to say, I went to Los Conpadres Mexican Restarurant. I won't be back!
