Marion's Piazza — Restaurant in Dayton

While visiting family in Dayton, I was told if I wanted some super good pizza to try Dayton's top rated pizza joints. I haven't the slightest clue on why this pizza place is Dayton #1 cause this pizza was trash. Just look at the pic of my pizza it's not even in the shape of how pizza is supposed to be for starters BUT that doesn't matter really, it's all about the taste, the flavor. Messy looking foods are normally the best tasting but that wasn't the case. I do like the ideal amount of toppings on my pizzas and that's y I gv it 2 stars instead of 1 but it still really didn't have flavor. Crust was like bitting into cardboard. Also the 13 minute drive from there, my pizza should not of been cold when getting to my fam's home. I was so super excited to try another big towns version of their #1 rated pizza but unfortunately was completely disappointed. Also ordered an Italian sub 👎🏻 👎🏻 & wasn't impressed with that either. I love Marion's Pizza. I normally get my pizza at the one on kings Ridge dr. Dayton Ohio and the deluxe pizza there is packed with peppers and onions and mushrooms and cheese its perfect. Today I went to the one Shroyer Rd and went in ordered a deluxe pizza and there was very little bit of mushrooms and peppers and onions but plenty of sausage and pepperoni and cheese over all the pizza was good just wish there were the same amount of other toppings like the pepperoni and sausage and cheese. When I went to pick up my pizza the person walks away didn't say thank you have a great day or enjoy your pizza. I guess I'm used to being treated really good at the one on kingsridge dr in Dayton Ohio they are pretty friendly. Usually the reason I go to the one on kingsridge dr in Dayton Ohio is I'm visiting my father for 2 days. But today I was craving a really delicious pizza from Marians Pizza. We ordered as deluxe pizza, no onions. The pizza was ready on time. However, after a 15 minute ride home the pizza was not edible as it was extremely greasy. We called and they prepared a replacement pizza. Upon seeing the first pizza they said it was unacceptable and the one the prepared would be much better. It was a "Rush" pizza and again, after a 15 minute ride home the pizza was not any better and we had to just throw it away. They blamed the sausage, the pepperoni, the cheese.... we have ordered this many times before at the Beavercreek and this location and had not had an issue with this much grease. Perhaps their ingredients are not good anymore, or the cooking times have changed. This was are number one pizza place. It will be quite a while before returning.
