I have eaten at this sonic often. This morning I ordered breakfast burrito with route 44 Diet Coke with vanilla and easy ice. I used the sonic app to place the order. After leaving I discovered that had not given me easy ice. I went back to the sonic and the car hop that brought my food was walking by. I called her over and showed her my order on the sonic app. I then showed her the amount of ice in the cup. She asked me to wait a minute so she could speak to the manager. She went in the store and returned a few minutes later stating the manager said I would have to purchase a new one since I had left. ???? I generally do leave sonic after receiving my order. I knew at this point the manager did not have customers in mind because he sent the message instead of coming to speak with me to discuss my issue. I informed the car hop I needed to speak to the manager.
A young man (I won’t list his name but I did give it to corporate when I filed the complaint) comes out and asks me what my problem is. I show him the order on the app clearly showing easy ice and the sonic the order was placed at. I then showed him the amount of ice in the cup and asked him if that was easy ice. He replied no it looks like the normal amount. He then asked what I wanted. He was very smug and was not budging off his decision that if I wanted another drink I would have to pay for it. I informed him they would be getting a one star review. He said okay and asked if I needed anything else and walked off. I asked for the owners number so I could voice my complaint with them and if resolved not post a negative review online. He did not reply and went back inside the store. If not for this experience I would rate this sonic 4 stars probably. Due to this experience letting me realize how rude this individual manager was I will never eat at this sonic again.
BTW when I filed the complaint with corporate customer service they gave me a reward for a free route 44 drink on my sonic app.

Read moreDrive in. Apparently speaker system not working. Employee came out, took order....large chocolate shake. Did I want whipped cream and cherry? Yes. Approx 5 min ( good time) a different young woman came out, delivered shake and quoted price. I gave her a $10 bill. She looked a bit confused and then entered info into a hand held device. She then repeated the price, stated the change I should get ($3.86...I'd already figured that myself) and then asked me "Do you want the coins?" I asked her "What?" and she repeated and explained she was asking if I wanted the entire amount owed me or just the 3 one dollar bills, allowing either her or the business to keep the $.86 that would be coins. Uh no, I was paying what was owed and expected to get back the amount over-paid by using a $10 bill. She then had some difficulty in making the $.86 , gave me 3 one dollar bills, 3 quarters and a dime...$3.85. Not going to quibble over one cent but was definitely put off by the question of whether I wanted full change owed to me or not. Further...shake was thin, whipped cream amount was about a tablespoon and cherry disappeared to bottom of the cup due to thinness of shake ( barely thicker than chocolate milk). Read moreWe came to get drinks for our family tonight. As soon as we pulled in we got a nasty look from one of the male carhops. When we went to place our order they took forever to answer, when she finally took our order, (we ordered 5 drinks) she had no problem. They got it out relatively fast and we asked for a drink carrier, we soon realized that our blast that we ordered was wrong. When we tried to get the carhop's (Paighton) attention she stopped like she heard us, then kept walking. We got her to come back she was very rude because we asked her to fix it. When she came back out she brought the carhop who had given us a nasty look before, who continued to give us death stares. After our blast got fixed the order was perfect. All in all, the workers we experienced were excessively rude and were not happy with the fact that we wanted what we order correct. The acted like quality customer service was an inconvenience to them. Will not be returning...
