Edit: My local office told me they opened up on beach street when I said everything was closed, as it was now after 3. I *really didnāt want to support them or run into esp with OG sweet marlays down the road, after what went on in port orange with zero accountability, But I did for my daughter who was hungry and spent 30 on two cups of soup and cake for my dads b day.
Nick approached me and it was very uncomfortable so I said Iāll take the review down for him, not her. Because I feel bad for him. He seems genuinely good people. But there was no ā hi. Iām Nick half owner, or whatever , Iām very sorry about my partner attacking you verbally embarrassing herself, and what went on over switching a sandwich that fell apart for a cup of soup, can I get you anything ? A coffee maybe ?? If not comp your bill. Maybe Have dorothy come out an apologize?ā Nothing. Or just leave me be, and take my money.
It was Just āthat review really hurt. ā ( as if theyāre the victim ? And Iām so terrible for leaving a 100% honest review and there are others too, go look ) and with my young daughter !? making it once again super uncomfortable. Yikes. serious communication skills are needed here. Thank god itās only coffee and basic food with laptop workers and hipster gossip gathering or the place would never last with the lack of customer service.
Curious who it hurt Nick? Me. Youāre in a new prime location /expanded your old and seem to be doing great. One day ya might need someone capable of customer service with a straight head however. You seem nice, but Iāll support down the road where Iāve never in over a decade been treated like garbage. nobody in hospitality takes their sandwiches that seriously unless maybe Seinfeld soup episode.
I owned now Tik Tik/ prior dunn store aka beach street antique mall on the corner of beach street, for years after main street jewelry business and I know everyone in town. I sat at your tiny coffee bar before you had a shop, in Cassadaga every shift Not knowing who you were. I bought bags of coffee regularly which arenāt cheap , And I donāt deserve a sincere apology??? Or anything ? Wild.
So, I Gave it another chance after insanity for no good reason, I get it people have problems and bad days but to allow that to go on in front of a store full of people and a line because of drama at that, is mind blowingā¦Definitely never was a business owner prior. Iād be looking for a new partner who can communicate, and mange their emotions not take things persona and get hostile. Iām an expert in customer service sales and management with 30 years experience at four local family owned businesses /4 non family. Why is it so hard to communicate? One person must be able to. A rock lounge been awesome where legends was gonna go but Copperline It is. After giving a last chance itās a nope for me. The open porch during cool months is cool but no amount of dead flowers and antlers can make me go back. But Iām sure youāll do just great because beach street is /always has been lacking for a downtown. Despite attempts to up it. Blesssss.
Extremely Rude co owner bullies you if something goes wrong in order or with food. otherwise it be decent hopefully itās worked on itās a real shame. Professionalism and hospitality needs...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis morning I understood how āKarensā are born. I went to Copperline after my morning walk with my dog to see the sunrise. Drove 15 minutes to try it out and was greeted by sullen hipsters who took my coffee and quiche order at a snails pace. I figured it was part of the experience⦠Iāve been to Portland after all⦠and I have a good life so I can wait a little longer. But after 10 minutes when my heated up slice of quiche hadnāt come out and I asked the girl, and she said it was coming, I was getting a little irritated. 10 more minutes later when a woman and her two daughters came in after me and ordered full breakfasts to go and she had been handed her food, I mentioned it was a little long to wait for a piece of heated up quiche.
Finally some results.
The male hipster padded back to the back to ask. After meandering back to the front, he said āitās coming right out.ā To which I waited another five.
And here, still in my āI have a great life and Iām going to take my quiche, dog and cappuccino back to my beach cottage and then swim in the ocean and read a book so I donāt need to get angry with these foolsā mindset, I thanked the third hipster who turtle walked my quiche to me.
No āIām sorry that we obviously forgot to put your order inā or āwe messed up here is a free pastryā no⦠āwe hope you come again.ā Three sullen 20 somethingās unaware that they are getting paid because people walk in there and order things. āCustomers are the businessā wasnāt conveyed in their training.
God forbid I did do more than mutter āthis is ridiculous.ā I probably would have been recorded and labeled a monster.
Now the coffee was good and the quiche mediocre, if you like that sort of treatment.
For me, Iāll take my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCopperline Coffee has quickly become my favorite coffee shop whenever Iām in town for work in Daytona Beach. Located right on Beach Street, this cozy local coffee spot offers both indoor and outdoor seating ā and while it might look unassuming from the outside, once you step inside, youāll find a warm, rustic space perfect for relaxing, working, or catching up with friends.
The rustic dĆ©cor and welcoming atmosphere make it a versatile space ā whether Iām stopping by in heels for a business meeting or just craving a laid-back afternoon coffee, I always feel right at home. And honestly, if I were still riding motorcycles and had my boots on, Iād feel just as comfortable walking in here too. This local coffee shop truly supports the local biker community, which makes it even more special.
The coffee is always rich and flavorful, and thereās a tempting selection of snacks and pastries to enjoy with it. One of my favorite parts about Copperline Coffee is seeing the owner and staff personally involved in day-to-day operations. Itās a great reminder of why supporting local coffee shops over big corporate chains matters ā you can genuinely feel the passion and community connection here.
If youāre visiting Daytona Beach, especially during Biketoberfest, Bike Week, or any local motorcycle event, Copperline Coffee is a must-stop destination. Itās one of those hidden gems on Beach Street that perfectly captures the local vibe ā where locals, travelers, and bikers alike come together for great coffee and...
