Currently on a tour to find the best chips and salsa, lime margarita on the rocks and tacos. Each is rated on a scale of 1-5. This is Taco Tour stop #28 Chips and Salsa: The chips were served with salsa and bean dip. The chips were thick and did not have any salt on them. The salsa was extremely bland and had zero heat. The salsa taste as if it was store bought. The bean dip was the saving grace to the chips, however it isn’t anything that I would specifically come back for, unlike other restaurants we have been to - 1 Lime Margarita on the rocks: These were by far the worst margaritas I have ever had. There was no flavor to it at all and taste like watered down tequila. I had to squeeze some lime that I received with my tacos in my drink to even have a small taste of lime in it - 1 Steak Taco: Flavor: 2 Fullness: 4 Appearance: 5 You cannot order just a single taco here. If you want street tacos in comes in an order of three. We ordered the steak tacos and asked for onions and a slice of avocado on each taco and to have the cilantro on the side. We each had a taco and then split the third one. The first taco was flavored well…however the second one was salty, and the further into the taco I went the saltier it got. The third taco was so salty it was making my mouth feel like it was burned. The tortillas were fried up really good, which was the only positive with the taco. Chicken: Flavor: 4 Fullness: 4 Appearance: 5 If you want American tacos you cannot get just one, the order comes with two. They do ask if the chicken was wanted to be prepared shredded or grilled, which grilled was ordered. As usual it was ordered with cheese and sour cream. The grilled chicken was flavored very well. Some pieces were dry, but overall the chicken taco was a way different experience than the steak tacos. Service - our server was very nice and attentive. The slices of avocado we requested came as a half of avocado slices which we were charged $2.59 for. The sour cream came in a bowl on the side and was $1.69. I would give 0 stars if it let me..I went to El Maya for lunch yesterday with a few ladies from work, following our last day of school. Our waiter pushed us into getting the “largest” margaritas, only to be given a major headache hours later, that’s minor beyond the point..after he sat us he asked several of times if we were all on one check, which I found to be odd that he asked more than once. But didn’t think much at that point… as we were finishing up, he took my card, and walked away to close out my bill. I did not lose my card nor did I or anyone else in my household make any further purchases since yesterday’s lunch. Today I have over $400 in fraudulent charges on my acct- several small online transactions along with a local purchase online Walmart pickup order. Clearly my acct wasn’t hacked by a random person millions of miles away. I am convinced this man took full advantage by taking down my full card info and used it as theft today. Beware- as I am probably not the first person he’s done this to, it’s something he’s most likely been doing to others. He needs to be caught and pay for these crimes!!!!!!

If I could give negative 100 stars I would. I ordered online. I ordered Torta De Carne Asada with directions saying, "no avacodo please, I am highly allergic." Apparently, that was their invitation to try and kill me because the sandwich was loaded with avacodo and therefore I was not able to eat it. I also ordered a plain hamburger - medium and it was way over done. The salsa tasted like water. Even tomato juice has more flavor. I ordered the tirimisu and the only thing I could taste was the Hershey syrup they put on it. This was a complete waste of money. I tried calling the restaurant to complain about the avacodo and what could have happened had I ate the sandwich and the rest of my order and no one answered, even though it was during business hours. I am in the process of moving and ordered uber eats (which by the way was the only decent thing about this whole situation). Avoid this restaurant. They cannot follow directions and the food was completely disgusting.

I am gluten & dairy intolerant. We have been to the restaurant many times over the past few years without issue until tonight. Tonight we visited the area and stopped to celebrate my husband's and SIL birthdays. I specifically ordered the Baja fish taco which was to be GRILLED FISH and asked for corn tortillas. The first plate came out with BREADED fish on corn tortilla. I sent it back for the grilled fish on the corn tortilla. The order came back with the SAME BREADED FISH but on the FLOUR tortilla. I sent it back again for the GRILLED fish. The order came back really fast which made us suspicious. The kitchen SHREDDED THE BREADED FISH and put it back into the corn tortilla and served it to me. I caught it by the time I was 1/2 way through eating the 1st taco. We caught the next server and brought this to their attention. The manager came and asked for clarification and I explained again for the 4th time. Told them to keep the food and not charge for the meal. Of course this occurs on a trip to celebrate my husband's and SIL birthdays and we drove over 90 miles one way to eat there specifically for their cilantro jalapeno margaritas. I will never suggest this establishment again to anyone visiting the Green Bay area or patronize it again. It is INEXCUSABLE that their kitchen staff or even management would THINK...
