Sidekicks Bar & Grill — Restaurant in De Pere

Went to this place on 06-04 with a client of mine. We sat at the bar. During this time I was having a private conversation with my client. We were using a normal tone of voice when the conversation turned to politics. To paraphrase, my client said in effect that the “Green Deal” is a bad idea on top of the fact that liberals want to give away everything free. A bartender overheard our conversation and interrupted us to reprimand us. “You are not allowed to say things like that about liberals in this bar because I’m a liberal!” A minute later another bartender interrupted our conversation. “Excuse me. Are we clear that you cannot talk like that in here”. When I asked if she was telling me that I cannot have a private conversation that might involve an opinion that you might disagree with she replied “That’s right”.

On top of that, apparently the two bartenders let one of the kitchen cooks know about our conversation. He stood in the kitchen doorway and stared at us until he got our attention. He then stepped back, slapped his “chest” and flipped us off. He continued to step into the doorway and mouthed various comments to us.

Hard to believe, but I will never spend a cent in this place again and will tell every person I come across about my experience. Already started...

Always slow service, not courteous, not professional. This time was my last straw, I used to take all my interview candidates here but not anymore. I just waited 10 minutes to get recognized, asked for a water to drink and she rudely tossed the menu on the table although she did say oops sorry it still did happen. I waited about 10-12 minutes for her to come back to get my order keep in mind I had the menu closed from 1 minute and on since I knew what I wanted. I then pushed the menu as far to the end of the table as possible. I texted my friend to have her meet me since it has taken this long already I might as well just wait for her to go on lunch. The waitress comes and I told her i guess I was just going to wait for my friend. She said VERY rudely "well you just tell me when your ready" and walked away like I was a nuisance. The owner of the bar was the most disrespectful and scummy person I’ve ever met, Denise I hope you see this. Don’t go there and play pull tabs the machine will malfunction and say sold out with a bunch left in there and then the owner will proceed to lie about how much money you put in there and say there’s no way to prove it over and over then have her little boyfriend that was next to her saying stuff too and constantly swear and say disrespectful things To me and my friend, Have a nice life old lady! Scumbag! Good thing I live in MN and far away from that watering hole! I have no reason to lie about money and losing it but I was mad at the fact how disrespectful she was and right off the bat right away with her demeanor. Disgusting to say the least… especially that coming from a business owner...
