If you’re looking for a fantastic burger in a welcoming atmosphere, this tavern is a must-visit. Their burger was nothing short of excellent—juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. This place just made it to my short list. But as good as the burger is, don’t sleep on the fish fry either, it is even better.

They also have a solid selection of beers on tap, featuring a mix of local brews and well-known favorites. Whether you’re in the mood for something light and refreshing or a rich, full-bodied pint, there’s something for everyone.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a great spot to relax with friends or family. The building has that landmark feel to it. It’s also impressively clean, which adds to the overall experience. The service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, & quick without feeling rushed. It’s the kind of place that would be great for a first date or just a place to impress out of town guests.

Let me start by saying this is or was our favorite place for fish fry. My wife and I both get the combo platter every time. Let me also say it’s bad business to take away portions. If food cost has gone up or you need to readjust sizing, then charge more so we can at least expect a difference. My wife always went home with leftovers and as long as I wasn’t starving, I did as well. There was only 1 perch and it was a half of a butterfly that was the size of my pinky. Only 2 half portions of cod and even the fries was a smaller portion. The only thing left on our plates was the lemon slice and I can’t say we’re stuffed. Most people are fine spending more if the price goes up, but keeping the price the same and slashing the food amount so drastically puts a bad taste in our mouth. Probably won’t be back, at least...

The food was a lot better than the service. I was hoping this place could become my to-go spot for wings and drinks. We've been there twice.

The bartender forgot to put in our order. I had to wave to get a new drink every time. I had my empty can thrown away, but they didn't offer me a new drink. The bartenders were more concerned with doing shots with regulars than seeing if anyone needed a new drink. The bartender had to ask us what we ordered twice, once for drinks and once for food. I watched the bartender take food to the wrong table twice.

They have good food. They're close to establish staple of downtown DePere, but the employees, and I assume the owner, are more concerned with establishing a laid back hangout...
