Kelly's Irish Pub — Restaurant in Dearborn

Terrible experience back in September! We were there with our out of state friends after my sons funeral (it was the only place open after service and dinner with family and friends). I was not drinking, but others were, but no one obsessively. My husband was crying with his head in his arms on the bar and the bartender told him he would have to leave if he was going to rest his head on the bar. I told her why he was doing that and she shrugged her shoulders. Then as my husband and I were leaving and our friends told us they were going to pick up my husband's tab (I was just drinking water) with the bartender STANDING RIGHT THERE, as we gathered our things and walked out to the car one of the other FEW people who were there at the bar chased after us telling us not to leave the bar until we took care of our open tab. That place was ridiculous and such a joke! So sad that was where we went to talk with out-of-state friends about our loving son! Never again will we go back there and I would not recommend this...

I used to love this place but after last night I’ll never return. Came here with a friend everything was okay until we gave the server our card and said we would be outside for a little.

We go outside and smoke. It’s LEGAL & we did it inside our personal vehicle, again WE GAVE OUR CARD TO THE SERVE.

Come back inside and owner says he is kicking us out due to “stealing and smoking” . What?

He referred t0 2$ in CHANGE from MY keno ticket ( other friend gave a 5$ ) . Why did the bar tender assume that was her tip. No it’s MY change of course I’m going to take it.

No possible way to steal a drink when I gave my card before even leaving to go outside.

You embarrassed me & it wasn’t even valid.

Btw , we paid our tab!!! I even gave MY 2$ in change back !! Horrible experience. Super upset.

And yes we were the only people of color...

Called ahead with a group specifically asking what time the kitchen closes because we have a bunch of hungry people, was told it’s open til 11. They had a nice big outdoor area with tables to accommodate us. Staff were very friendly and we ordered drinks and food between 9:45-10, told the staff more friends are still coming and hungry so they left us with extra menus.

10:15 our friends arrive 10:20 appetizers come out (fried pickles were pretty good) and the waitress disappeared immediately ignoring our friends, I figured she must be coming right back 10:30 I went inside saying our friends are ready to order drinks and food, so it doesn’t get too late on the kitchen. I’m told by the staff that the kitchen is closed, not taking any more orders 10:45 my “medium well” burger comes out totally burnt
