Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Dearborn

Worst food service and experience I have ever had. I had stopped between appointments to grab a smoothie and a quick meal. The item I ordered, which was the Santa Fe Chicken Quesadilla had several key ingredients missing, including roasted red peppers, onion, queso, and roasted tomato salsa. I was given cheddar cheese, black beans, white rice (which i never even expected because it’s not in the listed ingredients), and big chunks of grilled chicken thrown inside. Instead of there even a side of any salsa, I was given sour cream, which I do not even eat.

I called the location to try to get an understanding how any of this was even possible. I proceeded to tell the tropical smoothie employee (whose name is on the receipt), that I received a dry quesadilla. She proceeded to tell me that she was just informed that they are out of salsa. I questioned why this pertinent information was not given prior to the food even being prepared. She proceeded to tell me to calm down because obviously she didn’t understand that not only was the salsa missing so was so many other things. I literally couldn’t eat what was thrown into the box.

I asked for the manager, while on hold, I was hung up on. I call the Tropical Smoothie location back. I tell the person who answered the phone that I was waiting to speak to a manager and she then told me she was that person. I asked her name and she denied when I requested a last name. I proceeded to tell her the situation and her response was I could come back and receive a replacement quesadilla. But what in fact should I be receiving from your location? That did not have salsa and several other missing ingredients????? I told her I was already gone and I wasn’t. She then told me goodbye.

Never again. If quality service and any type of standard isn’t your thing. Don’t get a job working with people, and especially not with food! I work for my money and I want what I pay for done how it’s...

A single bad experience doesn't necessarily warrant a 1-star review, but after comming here on and off for 4 years I can safely say this is the worst tropical smoothie I've been to.

Sides literly fractions of the size of 4-5 other locations I've traveled to. Sandwiches near entirely bread. Cold cheese on quesadillas. Shredded cheese on sandwiches that require slices. Kale slaw almost entirely void of actualy slaw dressing. Smoothie blended with so much banana it was slimey.

And today.. a smoothie blended with so much ice it was mostly water when drinking. By the time I got to the bottom I had an icey paste the consistency of a slushy.

I typically grab and go, and chalk it up to variance, and just try again in a month or so. I don't even blame the staff at this point, it's been 4 years... Has to be management. With so many 1-start reviews I guarantee this stores rating is...

The worse tropical smoothie I’ve ever been to. I ordered two smoothies on the app to be picked up curbside. I arrived to the location, called inside the store to tell them that I was outside and the young lady said they were out of one of the smoothies I ordered. I asked for a refund and she said that I would have to come in to get a refund so I said I’ll pick another one, she hung up on me. I called back and explained that I was hung up on and she completely dismissed what I said and proceeded to ask “well did you pick one”. These ladies were so rude and nasty and they did not want to bring my smoothies outside because they only do curbside once a week. Are you serious ? I decided to get out of my vehicle and get a full refund. This place is not properly managed, horrible...
