The beer is pretty good and reasonably priced. Atmosphere and patio is excellent! My complaints follow other reviews. The food is way over priced. We got a tiny half-filled "smoked trout jar" for $9 and a bag of Lay's chips.
In fact, all the entrees come with plain Lay's potato chips. We had a pulley's spork sandwich and a chicken sandwich - both tasty but tiny. The pretzel was fresh baked and delicious and the mesquite fries were a hit with the kids. For double digit prices, I kind of expect the side to be more than a store bought potato chip.
The service staff was nice enough. However, it was super weird when the sign said seat yourself and we waited at our seats only to be told 10 minutes later that we had to open a tab at the bar and order our food there, like duh.... It got weirder when no less than six waitstaff watched me struggle inside with two toddlers in tow to order food at the bar, carry beers and kids back to the table.
It's OK to have a different way to serve tables, but please make it clear to people upfront how your system works. And don't treat them like morons when they don't know how your specialized system operates.
I'll likely go back...
Read moreWe used to love coming here as a chill place but we cannot come here any longer during day light. I am for places to be inclusive for all, but our experience today was out of control. The place was over run by children, which is not necessarily the issue. Most of the children were being well behaved and their parents were correcting if not. We were sat at the tables in the parking lot with our dog. We chose a table that was separate from everyone. A couple families showed up. One of their children was running around with a stick hitting everything. Then the children were doing laps around our table with their bikes and ran into our table. This is when we moved to a different table. About 10 minutes later, the same family set up A GAME OF T BALL in the PARKING LOT next to our new table. Right in the walk way where people are trying to get in and out of the place. they lost a ball in the parking lot and switched sides and were aiming balls towards our table. this isn’t the first time we’ve left because of children misbehaving. its unbelievable that management lets this go on. It’s like lord of the...
Read moreIf it wasn’t for Mami’s Empanadas, this would be one of my more lackluster brewery experiences in Atlanta. I’ve never heard of a brewery that discourages customers from trying their beers.
The beer-tender Nova seemed hesitant when I asked to sample a couple more beers after having 3 samples (less than 1 oz each) to start. I point blank asked her if they discourage tastings and she said yes. I chose a beer based on its description only (hazy IPA) and it was fine. Nothing to write home about. Not her fault if this is their regular practice but I’m a frequent brewery goer and this was an absolute first for me.
What REALLY got me was that all food for the pop up restaurant was being rung in through the bar, but all the tips were going to the brewery!! The only reason I know that is because I asked the pop up owner if the tips would go to her if I left one on my credit card receipt and she said no. Super shady!
Won’t be back for the beer and would not recommend. 1 star for vibes, 2 stars for excellent choice of...
